  1. Look out for QB Pat Moore at Central. He may be on a bad team this year, but he is one of the elite up and coming athletes on a team that could turn around in a couple of years.
  2. Coach Richardson from Chattanooga central a couple of years ago, when they were actually good was a great assistant. I think he is a free agent right now, he used to be the D-coordinator. A lot of the players that played under him had career years that dropped off after he left. I heard he was headed to Hixson, please don't go across town to our rivals! Wherever you are Coach Rich, come back to central, we could use some help. The discipline is good right now, but the winning attitude and drive is gone. Anyone on here that knows this guy, give him this message for me, for us at Chatt Central.
  3. Read in the paper that Meadows was dismissed from the team. Anyone know what Happened?
  4. It's just adjusting to two different philosophies on coaching. Jones was more into winning and discipline through respect. While Campbell wants discipline first and wins will come. Can't say that either is wrong. In jones era, the kids respected him a lot but some of his assistants did not get the same respect from the kids. Campbell will get wins, but it will take a while for him to rebuild this program on a discipline basis. Some of the kids that Jones would have had out of the hallways can not make it in campbell's system, so they don't play. Unfortunately, they are some of the better athletes. Once he gets the discipline implemented, say a yr or two, central will be back where they need to be. (Hopefully)
  5. Yeah pretty good game until the end of the first half and the end of the second. I see Central still can't stop that counter off of the speed sweep. Last year hixson ran it seemed like every play because they couldn't stop it, and then seemed like they remembered it in the second half, and they still couldn't stop it a year later. Either Central has the same defensive coach or the one this year is no better than the one last year. On a good note for Central, Meadows can win some games for you this year, but someone needs to spend all practice on his throwing technique and rolling left, and setting up. It seems like you threw and athlete at quarterback and said play it, but didn't realize he may need some coaching on technique. With the right techniques, this kid could pull you guys out of some this year. If you aren't going to teach him technique, put the freshman back in there, and work on his for years to come and take your lumps. Big question, 30 seconds left, why is central not in a prevent? why are best dbs not in the game? You are trying to win, who cares if these guys get tired, meadows, newby, 50 should never come of the field on defense unless they say they are too tired to. And please find a safety to play alongside 31.
  6. you are right Russ, but if Central puts there starters back on defense, they have a much better defense than the one that has played all season. They were missing three returning starters on the d-line, three in the secondary and one linebacker. That makes a huge huge difference when the back ups are freshmen. The d-line had a freshman about 165 lbs playing tackle against ooltewah and red bank. Maybe they don't win, but they will have a much better defense this friday night.
  7. I saw Chatt Central practice today and they seem to be making the moves on defense to try and win this year. Maybe they can pull this one out with a veteran defense...10-7 central.
  8. athletes out of position. They have the athletes to have a lock down defense, but they are not in position, and they have them on offense, instead of suring up the defense, they have some good ones on defense and concentrating on offense, which is not good enough to win games on its own. If they put number 1, 50, 36 on the d line like they were last yr, and keep their two corners, and linebacker core, get rid of those two safeties, they have a very strong defense. But 1 plays more offense than defense, where they have four running backs, they keep him fresh for offense. 50 plays o-line and no defense. 2 is the best running back anyways, sure up the defense, and hand the ball to 2 and 7 and let them make plays. They could win some games this year if they do.
  9. About the refs, no, good job. The ooltewah players on punts were blatantly blocking in the back even when it wasn't even a returnable punt. Other than that, they dominated central. The first three plays from scrimmage for tds. That is ridiculus. Ooltewah may be good, but that says central is just that sorry. Are they just saying screw this year and playing for next year? The guys they had on defense, i know they have better guys standing on the sideline...lol. They were suppose to have like three or four returning defensive linemen, and not one of those guys even play defense anymore. They are either on the sideline or on offense. Number one was their best d-linemen for past two years, and he doesn't even play defense, he is one of the four running backs...lol Ooltewah deserved to win and maybe even score 58, but it didn't have to come as ugly as it did. Someone send a memo to the coaches at central that it's ok to plan for the future, but wasting a season doing it, doesn't help no one. Atleast plan like you want to win.
  10. This should be a good game. One thing central does have is a good defense, so i doubt they will have problems with Caldwell. The offense is coming around and they are making things simpler. This should be win number two for Central, but it won't come easy. Central in a dog fight by 6. It will be a good game, but Central has the heart in the end. Espect big things out of Frazier.
  11. I think this will surprisingly be a good game. Chatt Central's defense didn't look too bad against baylor, but their offense could not move the ball until the end. McMinn has shown some improvement so far in preseason, but I think both programs are rebuilding so should be a good game for both. McMinn by 3.
  12. Baylor 35 Central 0 Central's Defense will not let it be a blow out. They are the plus of this young team. But the offense will not score, if they get 100 total yards. No qb, and the one they are trying to train is a freshman. If Central can find a way to keep their defense off of the field, this could be even closer. maybe 14-0.
  13. You guys missed the point of what Bradley has been saying all along. They are definitely going to be better this year. I saw them scrimmage too, and they are a decent team, which is something we haven't been able to say about them in a while. The rebuilding process is under way, and 5-5 this year is attainable. I think they will surprise some people. Let the guy talk about his teams progress the same way every one else talks about their team progress. If I didn't want to hear about Ooltewah, I'd be in trouble, you guys sure talk about their progress on every board. I personally like it because I am not a fan of any Chatt. program, so I like the daily updates on here. Since I have been in Chattanooga, I have followed Central, and helped out for the last four years so I know a little more about that school, but I like coming on here and seeing what other schools are doing so I can stop by a practice or Friday night game.
