  1. Next time you walk outside, take a big breath and tell me what you smell....i smell state playoff time in tennessee . haha. good luck to all those teams that are favored, and unfavored, and everything in the middle. west/middle tennessee look pretty tough this year but they dont know nothing bout what goes on inside those appie mountains of ours haha. stay focused to all the favorites, and to all the underdogs...work your tail end off good luck to everyone
  2. this game is soooo huge and awesome that i am comming to it. and i live 12 hours away. holy crap i tell ya. i love watching these two teams play because the have such resepct for each other its always a good high school game. who ever knew someone would drive 12 hours to watch this game....pretty amazing huh by the way, i didnt go to either high school so i have no ties to either, incredible i tell ya
  3. well one explanation that could be looked at is texas has a state lottery. as much money as they pump into the state and schools it is really easy to get great facilities. i graduated in tennessee (high school) but i have been to different states with state lotterys and have seen high school stadiums that look better than d-2 and d-1 AA schools stadiums. if teams also share stadiums then they can afford ridiculous stadiums also. just a thought though. who knows how the devil they pay for those incredible works of art. anybody else have any other thought bout that?
  4. good to see the boys notch a quality win. i been rough on them this year, but hey...the alumni that left the program with such high prestige (spelling on that one, haha) its hard to watch them go down like they did. sounds like they looked like their old selfs again. good job trojans. can i get an update on #25 and how many carries he gets a game. from what i have been reading he has been getting the short end of the stick. if they dont want to run him at least use his speed at wide reciever or something.
  5. the walk can only be used at special times (ie. at maryville in 2001). any team that has a 2-2 record and still is cocky might need to get off their cloud in a hurry. congrats to east. hard to say it, but the BETTER team always wins this game. unfortunate for west to fall off the trojan horse after going to the state championship last year. perhaps the coaching power has moved to the other side of town. with a score like that its not just players...its coaching. once again, congrats to east
  6. i support wests players. but the coaches, not a chance. its all politics on the west end of town. how much are you willing to pay $$$$ for your son to play???
  7. this sounds almost as bad as the 49-7 drugging that maryville layed on morristown last time they came into town. at least that team could muster up some offense. little offense, but none the less...some offense. i said it once and ill say it again, west is done. their talent is not state championship calibur, or even deep playoffs calibur. wests reign at the top of their region is over. its funny to watch a team that was as dominant as maryville in the east to completely just falling apart. where is wests def. coach from last year??? i didnt see him
  8. west is done. all the BIG tallent is gone. sure woods turned the program around but with the amount of tallent woods had from the 2000 season untill last year was incredible. west matched up pretty well with maryville in that strech of time. but now they are just too small and inexperienced. this game gets out of control fast. if we can refresh yalls memory to when maryville just let west have it 49-7. that was the year after west beat them in the regular season. i cant even begin to imagine how long GQ is gonna let his boys go to send a message to east tennessee. but then again, morristown isnt the team to send a message on. they have again dropped to middle of the road. but none the less, good luck to both teams. west will have to play perfect and have the ball bounce their way if they want to even stand a chance.
  9. maryville will cruise in this one. if you had a 6-1, a nice (not flabby) 240 lbs kid on your football team with average strenght where would you put him on the field?
