  1. Congrats to the LA boys on the win tonight.
  2. Excellent analysis, glover. Please, we want more!
  3. Ditto... just hope LA can come out of this one without anymore injuries and hopefully they can build on somethings offensively. Good luck to both teams
  4. LA and TC both seem to be struggling for the same reasons, #1jacketfan. Young, young, young players. Thanks for the kind words and the same to you form this LA fan.
  5. The same guy, #75 (forget his name), blocked two and ended up with the third one. The guys calling the game on radio commented that that has to be some kind of a record.
  6. Pulling for them to score is being negative now? I try to remain realistic... and right now, things aren't looking good. I hope just as much as the next guy that they can get it together and improve. Being such a young and raw team at this point, I have all the confidence in the world that they will improve with time. Thanks for the love, OldCatFan. Another rough game for the boys tonight. Man. Congrats to the Station Camp players and fans.
  7. I'm just pullin' for the LA boys to score in this one. Good luck to both teams, but especially LA.
  8. Kingston absolutely dominated. Congrats to their players and fans. LA only had 2 first downs, only ran a little over 20 plays compared to Kingston's 61, and worse yet, two more players went down with injuries... believe it was Carwile and Reynolds tonight.
  9. You will note I wasn't at the game when I was listing my humorous complaints, as that is what the thread is about and asking.
  10. No need for such drastic measures when the crowd generally drowns both out. I've also learned to block them out by actually watching the game. Every now and then a high-pitched scream or errant bass drum will penetrate my focus, but very rarely.
  11. I don't go to a football game to pay attention to or listen to a group of self-absorbed teenage girls. Sorry. Unfortunately I was, but not just them. Much like with the cheerleaders, I don't go to the games to watch or listen to the band, but it'd be nice if they didnt' sound awful to the point where you do notice it. It wasn't just the LA band either, the only band that I was really impressed with was the Austin East band last year. That was good entertainment right there. I'm glad to hear the LA band had made improvements. I'm gonna try and make it out for the Catholic game, so I'll see/hear then.
  12. Word. Add to that a bad band. I don't mind a band that sounds like they know what they're doing.
  13. Wilson Cates started as a Freshman. That worked out pretty well for everyone.
  14. That HELPS a team when the playoffs roll around. See Livingston Academy last year, only they played an entire schedule full of tough teams, not just 2 or 3. Livingston Academy's 5-5 record last year could hardly be attributed to the fact that their region "stunk". There were teams left OUT of the playoffs from Region 2-3A that would've went to the 2nd or 3rd round, if not farther, in the playoffs last season. The East, Region 2 specifically, is just where the best football is played currently in 3A.
