  1. As far as the score is concerned, you could have checked the Coach T scoreboard. I updated it within seconds after each score.
  2. Congratulations on a great season Chargers. Congratulations Dyersburg. I'll be cheering for you the rest of way.
  3. Thanks for the injury report. I’m glad to hear that the other players who were injured will be able to play Friday night. Go Tomcats!
  4. According to the Brownsville States-Graphic, “Last Friday night there were several injuries—we’ll wait to hear what Coach Josh Puckett reports about players healthy enough to remain in the starting lineup Friday night.” That said, I would not expect Coach Puckett to make any comment before Friday. Since @Ljsr has already mentioned it in the Millington vs Haywood thread, I will say one of our players suffered a broken leg. I've been around for a while, and I have never seen so many injuries in one ball game. I'm praying for a speedy recovery for all who were injured. Regroup Tomcats and let's win this one! Go Tomcats!
  5. Y'all have had a great run and a great season. I hate to see it end, but I know these young men will take the lessons they've learned in football to go far in life. Congratulations Hardin Co. on a great season.
  6. Congratulations Chargers! Good luck next week.
  7. Prayers for all the Tomcat and Trojan players who were injured tonight. I don't believe I've ever seen so many injuries in one game. Good game Trojans, and congratulations Haywood. I would also like to congratulate Haywood on winning 10 or more games for the 8th straight year!
  8. It’s game day! Praying for safe travels for all and an injury-free game. Good luck to both the Trojans and the Tomcats. Go Tomcats!
  9. Thanks for posting @CHARGERFAN Mr. Pugh is an outstanding quarterback.
  10. Thanks T&C. You, and a few other posters, are right up there in my Coach T favorites list. Good luck to your Hardin Co. Tigers. It’s going to be one heck of a Tiger fight.
  11. MarkH, Thanks for trying to find the date. You may already know this, and I apologize for pushing it if you do. But you can go back to the link. https://ghsfha.org/w/Special:THSFHS/school/teams/Millington_Central/2023 Click on records underneath the title Millington Central Trojans, then click by season. You should see a list of years. Click on the arrow to the left of a year, and you should see the schedule and scores for that year. Safe travels to the Trojan faithful, and I'm praying for a clean, injury-free game. Good luck to both the Trojans and the Tomcats.
  12. Thanks @CHARGERFAN. Maybe there should be a CoachT senior forum...lol. Thanks for pulling for the Tomcats as well. I'm pulling for Covington to do the same.
  13. Here's my helmet form 1927 T&C, 96 and still kicking. NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Those helmets didn't offer much protection did they?
  14. What was the date of the 1937 game? Looking through 100 Years of Haywood Tomcat Football by Dr. Robert Rooks, I see a 10 game schedule that does not include Millington. The Tomcats were 3-6-1 in 1937. 09/17 Bolivar 13-7 09/24 Jackson 0-46 10/01 Greenfield 19-2 10/08 Halls 7-40 10/15 Chester Co. 18-0 10/21 Humboldt 0-0 10/29 Milan 6-18 11/05 Fayette Co. 0-12 11/12 Ripley 0-33 11/25 Byars-Hall 0-47 Of course, this information could be wrong too.
  15. Hey @MarkH, I’m sorry for waiting so long to respond, but I had to do some other things. Thanks for contacting and correcting me. It appears I’m missing the 1937 game. I got my information from the site below. https://ghsfha.org/w/Special:THSFHS/school/teams/Millington_Central/2023 Click on records underneath the title Millington Central Trojans, then click opposing programs. Scroll down the list until you get to Haywood. Then click the arrow to the left of the name Haywood. You should get a list giving you the date, location, and score for all the games between Millington Central and Haywood. I know these sites make mistakes, and I do too. Thanks once again for correcting me. Good luck to your Trojans and to the Tomcats as well. Will the Millington Star publish any pregame info about the game? If so, I’d love to hear what they say. I’m big on what the opposing side has to say!
  16. I can’t say much more than what has already been said. Millington’s quarterback is an outstanding player, but the Trojans have some other outstanding athletes as well. Haywood is going to have to put together 4 quarters and limit the penalties. I think the two teams look evenly matched. But with rain in Friday’s forecast, a wet field could affect the outcome. On paper, it looks as if Haywood might have a slight advantage. But as we all know, the game is not played on paper. A few stats, facts and predictions: Haywood is averaging 40.9 ppg while giving up an average of 23.45 (Average margin of victory 16.54). Millington is averaging 30.27 ppg while giving up an average 19.73 (Average margin of victory 10.55). Both teams have identical 9-2 records. Haywood’s 2 losses were to 6A Oakland (6-48) and to 4A Hardin Co. (35-42). The combined record of those two teams is 20-2. Millington’s 2 loses were to 5A Munford (14-42) and to 4A Melrose (10-45). The combined record of those two teams is 16-6. Haywood’s opponents have a 54-63 won/loss record. Millington’s opponents have a 45-71 won/loss record. Haywood and Millington have 3 common opponents: Haywood defeated 4A Fayette Ware 48-6 while Millington defeated the Wildcats 40-0. Haywood defeated 4A Crockett Co. 28-23 while Millington defeated the Cavaliers 38-34. Haywood defeated 4A Kirby 44-0 while Millington defeated the Cougars 31-0. This will be the 13th meeting between Haywood and Millington. Haywood leads the series 9-3. Haywood’s power rating is 121.30. Millington’s power rating is 113.69. With 2 points for HFA, that would make Haywood about a 9–10-point favorite. Cal-Prep predicts a score of Haywood 41, Millington 26. Massey predicts a score of Haywood,42, Millington 19. @CHARGERFAN, please keep us posted on anything the Daily Memphian might have to say concerning this game as we get closer to game day. .
  17. Congratulations Tigers! Good luck against Marshall Co.
  18. Congratulations to the Chargers on their win last night and good luck against Ripley.
  19. Millington will be a challenge. Haywood has got to play with discipline and limit the penalties. I haven’t had a chance to watch the links below, but I will. The first two links are of the Millington vs Melrose game. The third one is the video stream of Millington’s first round game with Crockett Co. https://www.facebook.com/millingtontrojansfootball/videos/3532891867029252/ https://www.facebook.com/millingtontrojansfootball/videos/654941950116112/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nrN15OGsYrc
  20. Hey @CHARGERFAN! You can try this link. You don't have to sign in. Just x out of the sign in box. The SGC broadcast crew isn't as good as the crew they had a few years ago, but you can get some idea of what Hamilton looked like earlier in the season. I don't think the Chargers will have any trouble putting the Wildcats away. https://www.facebook.com/SGCFootball1/videos/633095818994967/
  21. You've come a long way baby! After a preseason defeat to the Choctaws in August, the Cats win it 51-21 Congratulations Haywood!
  22. Thanks BPM. Good luck to the Milan Bulldogs tonight.
  23. You can watch the video stream here: https://www.facebook.com/brownsvilleradio/ The stream should start a little closer to game time.
