  1. Would not be that confident BBZ! Sure do wish the pounders played Ooltewah this year!
  2. What makes you think EH coaching staff is that much better than Centrals. When Gatewood was at Ooltewah, he was winning with mostly Central kids anyways. Central is now starting to keep those kids and mix in talent from other areas that gives them as much talent as the Ooltewahs and EH's. I have seen Ooltewah and SM play, Central even scrimmaged Signal back in the spring and Central more than held there own, some say even outplayed them in the scrimmage. So yes Central does have your so called track stars and Centrals D will dominate EH. I think you will come away from that game immpressed with what you see.
  3. Central's D too good for EH. Central has as much or more speed than both SM and Ooltewah so you cant say that. EH line will be no match for Centrals Def line. Central may have 6-7 sacks in this game. Central 34 EH 13
  4. First game at the Hurricanes new field. I thnk Central dominates EH on Defense and has enough Offense to win by at least 2 tds.
  5. Neither SC or WV did much against Centrals D. Central looks to be very improved on offense this year too.
  6. Has anyone heard any rumors about Chattanooga Central hiring Rusty Blackmon as a new assistant wrestling coach? If so, that would be a great pick up to go along with Joey Knox and Josh Edmonson. Coach Price seems to be doing a smart thing and surrounding the program with good assistant coaches.
  7. I promise you that Coach Bloodsaw from Brown Middle School is definatly not the answer!
  8. John Allen will be named new head coach at Chattanooga Central any day now. He was suppose to be named yesterday, but they are awaiting approval from the school board and making sure all his credentials are in order. What do you guys think, good hire or bad hire? I think he will be able to take the athletes they have at Chattanooga Central and do good things there.
  9. How can you guys leave THE C out of this conversation?
  10. Excuse me, I didnt know this was English class. Do they even teach English at The C anymore? Please answer 411's request why the C has not even attempted to wrestle any of the top 5 schools in Chattanooga or attend any of the big boy tournaments. We will for sure give the C credit when they step up to the plate and wrestle and win a match that counts for something instead of competing at the C invite against such teams like Tyner, Silverdale, Arab, Davey Crockett, Chattanooga Christian, Howard, Sale Creek, and so on.
  11. I think 411 is dead on with this post. I think the head man at the C knows this is the real facts. Sounds like we have a 411 vs Scott mike tussle on our hands.
  12. I agree with all of this also RussianBear. The C does have 2 great assistant coaches and there wrestlers have made a commitment to a year around program also. I agreee with your statement about successful wrestlers do get snatched up by the privates, but not all. A great youth program can bring great excitement and keep light on the program from the ground up.
  13. Its due to a solid youth program and YouthCoach16 over the last several years. Mr. Youthcoach16 has several wrestlers that he coached growing up on the squad. Too bad that youth program is no longer in existance and YouthCoach16 has moved on to another program in town. Ive heard that the current staff at the C doesnt think a solid youth program has anything to due with how good their program will be in the future. I can tell you now, solid youth programs are where solid high school teams are formed. That is why your Baylors, McCallie, Bradley's, Cleveland's and Soddy's will produce more state champions and championship teams over the next several years.
  14. The texter in question has ties to Heritage High School in GA.
