  1. Unfortunately, Darren is correct in an earlier post. The Indians should be able to pick the score of this game. But, I expect a fight from our boys. It may in fact be 50-0, but we'll show up and see what happens. As for our fans insisting on bringing up the one and done stuff about D-B......why? It would be different if we had beaten them in the last century. You have no leg to stand on. If a team beats us, take it with sportsmanship and move on. Tip your hat to the better team. Don't go saying "well so and so beat you! nanner nanner nanner". Now, here's to a good, hard fought contest tom night with no injuries.
  2. I knew you were a big softie Jack, but I won't tell anyone
  3. Trevor has made some bad decisions in the past. We all have. Especially at such a young age. This message board isn't a good place to bash him. I should know. I was guilty of it in the past with a young man from D-B. I have since apologized for that stupid act. I wish Trevor nothing but the best and I hope he makes a good go of his fresh start. The sky is the limit for him and several others on the Indian team as well as our Rebels.
  4. Now Jack, you know my buddies can't read
  5. Indians looked good last night. Yes, Clinton is bad. Whoever is worried about Cookie, please, he'll be fine. I hope we give you a fight but I'll have to say Indians will continue the streak. Hope everyone behaves themselves this week and both teams come away injury free. M&G, you make some good points on all accounts....including some classless fans on our side of the city.
  6. Thanks for the offer Jack, but I actually buy my D-B gear each year after the 1st round of the football playoffs. It's always marked 50% off or "going out of business". Then, get this, I come back for opening game the next season and sale it to Indian fans at a 150% mark up! Because with each new season, hope springs eternal! Remember Jack, buy low, sale high!
  7. I certainly hope you're right. I would hate to see him playing at Norf for Monk.
  8. If you put Camion in the backfield with Devaun and Malik along with Cookie at QB, you would be VERY hard to handle for anyone in the state if you got any line play at all.
  9. CP's former little league coach is on staff at North. CP and him are really tight. Don't be surprised if he is wearing black and gold next season.
  10. I agree 100%. This BS about D-B needing to strengthen their schedule to succeed in the playoffs is just that...........BS. Greeneville played a mess of cupcakes this year and won the state. You have to have the horses. But, you are correct, even though I think it's admirable of the Devils to play Alcoa, it will be a beat down. And you will NEVER see D-B schedule Alcoa. Maryville is the only 6A team with the balls to do so.
  11. JH, I don't necessarily agree with all of your post, but you are spot on about people (especially Dads) being allowed too much intervention. It's been a frustrating year. Main reason I've been quiet. On a brighter note, congrats to the Blazers and Coach J. Good luck next week.
  12. Well, he's definitely a shock jock, lol. I like how our D is playing at this juncture. Leaps and bounds better than a few games ago. I wish we didn't have to depend on Heath as much offensively, but you have to do what you have to do I guess. As for Stacy and Co., I think they are headed in the right direction. If the kids stick with him, they will be a force in a couple of years. Time will tell. I've never been sold on football in JC, but if anyone can do it, I think Stacy can. D-B will try, you are correct. I look for a closer than expected game. But, hey, I've been wrong before! P.S. Love the new stadium!!
  13. They say on a cool fall night in Blountville you can actually hear the crickets chirp nowadays! Sorry, I had too. Now back to your regularly scheduled progam...............
