  1. I dont know the kid personally but from everything i've heard about him he's a great kid congratulations Alan. P.S. Big Ollie i do know and he is the best score keeper i've ever known. Congrats to you also
  2. I have nothing wrong with GP, but what they have done the past 2 off-seasons with transfers is a little more out there then just transferring from one school to the other. I'm glad to see GP, and their massive team, all they need is a TRUE point guard and they will have a great shot at state. Their addition to that district has made it the most competitive basketball district I can remember having around here. Appreciate the words about their team, but my point is Jose Agosto is the only true transfer to the program, and his family knew Raul and wanted him to play here, simple as that. As mentioned before, Morrease Barber transfered here for VERY real and personal reasons that in no way had anything to do with basketball (the kid is a stand-up guy in a sit-down world if you ask me). We have his brother Walt (who is primarily a football player) as a result of him seeing how things have been for Morrease here. Contrast that to the literally dozens of "transfers" within Knox County, and well . . . we are hardly running a basketball mill up here in Gatlinburg. You hit the nail on the head on the point guard (my son). He would love nothing more than to move to 2 guard, and has been shooting well enough to fill the spot left by McKinley Maples - but he is doing his best to fill the 1 spot, and is working hard in this off season to play the role his team currently needs. We shall see how it goes. McCrosky you cant take anything dyron has to say serious he is involved with a.c. who has already seen 2 new transfers this year and not includin gthe ones they already have for him to throw stones is laughable. H eis better suited to coach girls golf but we all know ther is no anti-nepotism law in cow land
  3. heard that the Halls team had to find out at Karns team camp when he didnt show up the kids texted him and he told them he was at A.C. What a shock the cows get another transfer. Also heard Lawler and Tummell arent coming back
  4. hey dragon whats the latest on yhe lockard situation i hope nothing comes of it so we can continue to spank the kittys and calves
  5. this is the best possible hire SC could've made, but if i was a coach at any of the surrounding high schools i would be worried because he is also the best recruiter in east tn.
  6. I know this may sound crazy btu the one guy whose name has been under the radar for a couple of years is J.D. Lambert. He knows the league as is respected by the other coaches in the district. I know the other coaches would not want him to get this job. When he stepped down at Central more than 2 of the head coaches tried to hire him to be their assistants.
  7. STICKS!! Its not any coach that got him there it was 100% Linwood. I personally hope that he doesnt leave but why would he stay if Mitchell got the job he didnt have that good of track record at Carter where he had talent everyone that knows the real coach in that family is his wife. He would still be a good assistant if they hire the right guy.
  8. thanks for playing Dre enjoy your senior season with Lester Wilson. Mitchell is as bad a hire as Lambert and his former staff
  9. could someone post winners and next match-ups. i already know a.c. had to have lost.
  10. dragonfan123=message board king. the only thing i want to know is where the sense of entitlement comes from by cow fans. clinton historically has been, is now and forever will be the top dog of this district. anyone who thinks for 1 second that the steaming piles wearing ties on the a.c. bench have any validity has no clue. lockard has forgotten more about the game than those a.c. assistants will ever figure out.
  11. First of all McNeeley is not a member of the AC coaching staff. He simply helps out during games. I can assure you that he cares about the kids he coaches. Coach Tummell does an excellent job with the freshmen at AC. He places great emphasis on playing fundamental basketball. Lollar does a great job as both a JV coach and a Varsity assistant coach. He knows the game better than most people realize and the players respond well to his coaching. Coach Wallace is definitely not in anyone's shadow! He has done an excellent job since taking over the AC program. Correct me if i am wrong but someone who helps out during games is a coach isnt it. Ultimate Warrior= Ultimate cluelessness
  12. Let me intervene and break this down for everybody. The cows coaching staff has a whole lot to prove befor they can say they have the tradition of the Dragons. Look at the staff 1. Derek Wallace-finally out from the shadow of Eldridge doing a solid job for now 2. Nick Lollar- waiting for a golf coaching job to open 4. Travis Tummell- at central befor they were good so we know hes no good. i dont htink he even shows up to varsity games but that may be a good thing 5. Trent Mcnelley- another middle school coach and jv at that who is more worried about being called coach than actually helping kids Wallace, you need to evaluate your staff with a little more help this could be a very solid 3a program
  13. I'd say that the Mavs have a pretty good coaching staff now. Led by Wallace, Lollar and that kid that use to play at AC. Mcneely may be his name. Maybe that coaching staff can lead the Mavs back to the promise land and to the Murphy Center in March. Heard that they work together well as a unit. I guess thats what happen when ex-ball players coach. They no longer have the skills to lace em up on the court, so they have to re-live their glory days on the sidelines Veer AKA "Flying Squirrel" are you talking about the Mcneely that is the JV coach at Lake City Middle School? If that is one of the coaches that is going to piggyback the mighty A.C. to the Boro the cows may be in big trouble.
  14.
