Ditto, I am proud to be living in this community and embrace my fellow man without regard to their ethnic background. Best of luck to all and I hope for an injury free game between these two teams who have worked hard to be at this place in the playoffs. Safe travels to all from Elizabethton and hope that all fans, players and coaches have a very Happy Thanksgiving. May sportsmanship prevail over all emotion on Friday. I will be on the concrete cheering on Alcoa as well as celebrating all the victories for ALL the young men who are competing on Friday night.

You are welcome JD, glad you came to Alcoa to see a great game. BTW, the police escort for #16 of Alcoa was initiated by me. I was standing outside the Alcoa locker room and overheard 6 CAK male high school fans talking behind me about getting even with #16 over a 'cheap shot' and they were going to make him pay. If you wonder how I knew they were CAK fans - a couple of them had bodies painted blue and the others wore the CAK school colors. I found a police officer who sent them on their way and then went down to the field to escort # 16 off the field. That is the end of that story. To CAK players, you played a great game and should be proud of all you have accomplished. Thank you for giving us a great high school game and several years of wonderful, competitive high school football.

Great game and congratulations to all players on both sides of the ball. This will be a game they won't ever forget. There were no losers in this game - congratulations to both Maryville and Alcoa for once again showing us the best football played in the state. This is one of the best high school games I have seen in 20 years.
