  1. I bet that Bob and Rob Black just smiled when the Greeneville players showed their butts and jumped up and down on the Falcon at midfield. I also bet that the Greeneville coach that was out at midfield laughing while it was going on.......is no longer laughing.
  2. One of the Oak Ridge coaches told me that they play A.C. Monday. Not sure, but I think that might be right because A.C. won and O.R. lost on Friday, and usually that's the case. You might check that.
  3. Would someone post the tournament schedule on here?
  4. Great post! I'm just not sure that "travel ball" is as much to blame for it as the parents are. I think you can find a good balance between the two if you use some common sense. The problem is when the parents are engulfed by it and don't let it be their kid's time. Halls lost a ton of seniors last year but Doug is a great coach. I promise they will be competitive.
  5. Powell beat Fulton at their place tonight by 11. They led by 14 for a while but then it seemed like the stripers started trying to keep it close.
  6. Well what will the excuse be this year?
  7. Last year, Powell LB Colby Skeen drilled the West QB in the back on the first play of the game and it seemed like it set the tone for the entire game. It looked like Francis heard footsteps for quite a while after that. The Panther defense was relentless that entire game. If Devin Scott, Sharron Moore, and the rest of the defensive front can apply that kind of pressure Friday, it will be a long night for the Rebels.Go Panthers!
  8. Pretty sure Sevier County plays Jefferson County.....Is that one on WVLT?
  9. Does anyone know which game is going to be televised on WVLT (Knoxville) this Friday?
  10. Does anyone know if this game is going to be televised?
  11. Taylor decided to go the JUCO route....signed with Vol State.

    All State?

From this morning's Knoxville News Sentinel: Coaches' Picks: The Tennessee Baseball Coaches Association (TBCA) selected a combined 13 players from the PrepXtra coverage area to its all-state teams. The TBCA released a first team and second team, which were all-inclusive for the state's classifications. Area players making first team were Wil Crowe (Pigeon Forge), Andrew Lee (Morristown West), Colton Bales (Jefferson County), Jake Johnson (Sequoyah), Trey York (Bearden), A.J. Simcox (Farragut), Colby Skeen (Powell) and Ben Whisler (Seymour). PrepXtra players making second-team all state were Grant Painter (Halls), Ronnie Broyles (Bearden), Isaac Allen (Rockwood), Nick Senzel (Farragut) and Jake Farr (Jefferson County). Congrats to all!
