Amazing all of these so called Blackman fans want to say Blackman big over Signal Mtn. Yet not one of them seem to realize that most of Blackman's starters are no longer starters. We have second and even third string players starting tonight. Obviously Coach Shad has finally had enough of the BS from the starters that only want to go out and play for themselves and not for their team. I personally am 100% behind Coach shad for his decisions and hope to see a real Blackman Blaze team show up tonight and show Signal Mtn. that all the talk about 7aaa and the rutherford county district is no joke. As for a pick.........Blackman by a TD scored late in the 4th quarter on a play no one will expect.................

Sounds like a good score but i think it will be a lil closer than that maybe a 3 point spread. Regardless of how it turns out everyone on here has to agree that if ya come messing with Rutherford County ya better be ready for a fight...........

ok here we go i have to agree if you think takeing out Blackmans QB is going to be good for the stars then by all means please do us all at Blackman a favor and do that. I mean seriously take out the weakest link on a opponets team is really a stupid stratgy but I and im sure several others will be happy to see our back up QB come in and really run the explosive offense that Blackman has.Our weak spot as pointed out surely is our DB's so please feel free to attack them so that we can show everyone that we r BLACKMAN and we are #4 in the state and 110 in the nation while the stars are 29th in the state and 870 in the nation......

These are all good questions espicially the one about the QB play but has no one seen past that? What about Leadership????? I have yet to see anyone or combo of players step up for Blackman and be the Leaders on the field, be the motivaters. Blackman needs some of their seniors to step up their roles as not only players but leaders. Guess we will see tonight if maybe that happens. As far as QB's go both the backups for Blackman have obviously got more agility and much better footwork than strickland does but i have feelings tha it goes back to another post that mentions something about the bosses superstar!!!!!!!!!!!

2p no offense was meant to you or lod as i know from reading your post on this thread and others that you 2 are a couple of class acts. That was intended more for others who have made their comments on here regarding Blackman & Coach Shad. WOW! Gonna talk crap about our school, Gonna talk crap about our boys, and now your gonna talk crap about our coach. Amazing what some so called adults will do. But since you would like to talk about him lets do that for a second.....2 Gold Balls is good place to start wouldn't you say. Since the 04-05 Season Shad has had a record of 39-14, Blackmans record during that time under Wells 11-29. Since Shad has come to Blackman his record stands at 11-1. Says something there I would say. As well as on a personal note not to sure how many Head Coaches give up Holiday time with their family to come be with his boys to help our Neighbors out when the tornado struck so close to home. So I guess what i'm saying is if all he tells the young men is WE ARE BLACKMAN.....Then by all means continue to do so it is working very well(11-1) kinda speaks for itself I can assure you this though, the Blackman boys are and when this group has been before as 8th graders and Freshman they were completely filled. And dont forget guys ..........WE ARE BLACKMAN!!!!!..........

Blackman should win this one. However, if they are looking ahead it might just be the one that bites them in the behind. Blackman should not overlook this team. They have a good defense and take chances on offense. I agree, being confident is one thing, being cocky is something that will cost you a "W" and then where would we be? At home...... Everyone from Blackman that knows me knows I'm up there in the stands hollaring and screaming with the best of them, but I also know that going into a game thinking you are going to just kill the other team isn't the best approach.... I don't plan by any means to get bored in the stands Friday night.... Good luck Blackman, stay focused and remember upsets happen all the time! I also look back to when these young men were but mere boys and pulled together as Freshman and won the Lion's Bowl. I truly believe these young men are out to make a statement to evryone and prove they deserve respect from everyone in District and State. One of the things my boys say all the time week after week is that they are 0-0 looking for that first win, seems to be working real well so far. Would love for all of us to find a way to sit together maybe around the 50 yrd line say half to 3/4 of the way up so we can all have a great view. We had a blast with all of you and will be looking forward to many more

OK yall sorry bout that had to get it off my chest. First off congrats to both teams who showed why Rutherford County Football is the best in the state. All those young men poured their all into tonights game and they all deserve a big pat on the back. Now as we look ahead playoffs begin and both these teams as well as Oakland will be in the hunt for the Gold Ball. My prediction is as follows,.....With out a doubt the Gold Ball stays in Rutherford County once again. Time for Maryville's Title Reign to come to an end when they meet up with one of these Rutherford County teams. Theres still quite a few games left to be played so everyone stay loud and proud and cheer your team on. By the way on that note IF YA CANT STAND UP AND SUPPORT YOUR TEAM DO US ALL A FAVOR AND STAY HOME. These boys work way to hard for people to just sit there like a bump on a log. Hats off to both teams and nice to see there is some class acts from both schools posting on here unlike some. ..........WE ARE BLACKMAN..........

Yanno these post are supposed to be for friends and familys of the young men who play they hearts out every friday night for 10 weeks, but then there is always a JACKA** or 2 who have to get on here and run there mouths. To them select few GROW THE heck UP!!! Both these teams have worked their tails off to achieve what they have so far, and to earn a right to continue their seasons. Whos gonna be #1 in district Whos gonna be #1 in the playoffs etc. etc. etc. Better question is whos ready to watch all these young men give their all in what undoubtlely will be a awsome football game Friday night. Coach A has brought Riverdale back to some of their old glory while Coach Shad is showing his team what it feels like to be Winners and not have to settle for 5-5 seasons or worse as their last coach considered to be good enough. This is about those young men and my hat goes off to both teams for great seasons, and congrats to both for making the playoffs. Personally im looking for a close game somewhere around Blackman 13 Riverdale 10. ..........WE ARE BLACKMAN..........

It appears to me Stork that the officiateing crew that night took some lessons from the suspended SEC officials. As I herd though we were not alone with the bad officiating that night, our district Dawgs were just up the road from us dealing with the same BS that we were. Seems to be the TSSAA should take some notes from the SEC and let these Zebras know that kind of BS wont be tolerated any longer. But as I told both of my sons on Blackmans team they couldnt beat us with 16 men on the field.

Maybe, but I doubt it. Dont count your chickens till all the eggs have hatched. Things could get all kinda crazy after week 10 especially if these so called underdog teams of Blackman and Smyrna come away with wins. Regardless of who else is in looks like another State Championship coming home to the best 6A District around, that be the one here in Rutherford County where everyone knows if your playing one of us your in for a long night.

Smyrna's playoff hopes come down to this game and a loss by another team or two. Oakland thinks they are gonna be on easy street playing them Dawgs, but they best remember that a cornered Dawg is the worst kind of Dawg there is. Another hard fought district game this will be for sure, and my money goes on them cornered Dawgs to pull the upset and keep there dreams alive. No matter what happens this Smyrna team shows why there is still some tweaking to do with this new playoff system TSSAA has set forth. When a team that is 3-5 in a weak District gets a shoe in for playoffs and Smyrna is looking at getting left out coming from the hardest District in 6A and a better record than 3-5. Something is messed up there for sure. Any way go Dawgs show them Pats that ya can never under estimate a Division Team.

After last night's game @ Brentwood I would definitely spend some time worrying about what the Blaze are gonna do. We have finally found something that has been missing for quite sometime from our program. Something the so called great one Bobby Wells could never deliver let alone find it in a closet if it was the only thing in there. That thing is called HEART & UNITY!!! Blackman found out that when you put your heart in it and play as one that anything can happen. (28 points in 8 minutes) I'm not knocking a good Riverdale team, but there is 2 things Blackman has never had 1) a Varsity win over Riverdale & 2) a District Title. Blackmans boys are out to make a statement as with the Brentwood game and the mojo is definitely with them. It will be a very tough game for both teams, May the best team win..........WE ARE BLACKMAN!!!!
