  1. If the kid comes back out (I’m assuming he will) the RB will be a kid named Porter. He is a rising Sophomore. Loaded with speed. If you go back and watch the CC game he came in late and ran about a 25 yard touchdown. He will be good. Not sure about the WRs, but you know OR, we never lack for athletic skill players, so I’m not worried about that really. Kids always seem to emerge. I know the Frosh and JV both had good teams, and Robertsville and Jefferson both had some really good skill talent I thought. When you combine them together, it’s always formidable. I’d guess that Henderson kid (rising Sophomore) will also get a lot of snaps at wideout this season.
  2. It was bound to happen sooner or later. It was right on time. Every 10-15 years. It’s almost like clockwork.
  3. I’ll give you SC had a tougher schedule. But Rang also was working with a first year Sophomore QB. Although he ended up doing well, that’s tough, especially when the supposed SR starter ups and quits before the season starts. So there were challenges. I agree we shouldn’t have lost to Clinton, but I give them credit, they played a great game. Yeah, we should’ve given it to Dozier more, but we didn’t. End of story, and on to ‘24. I have quite a bit of confidence in Rang. His success over the years speaks for itself.
  4. Yeah you’re probably right. Stansberry will go down as one of, if not the best QB in OR history at the end of his SR year.
  5. Went to Farragut, and handed it to em. Even though they weren’t as good as normal, they have been an Achilles heel on our schedule for 15 years or so. Gave them their worst defeat by far. Were tied with Bearden late in the fourth, who I thought was a very good team, and besides BC put more points on their defense than anybody else. Keep things in perspective here. It was our third coach in as many seasons. I think he did about as good as you can expect for a first year coach under those circumstances. Give the guy credit. I don’t care how much talent you think he had, that’s not an easy situation. Cummings went 7-6 with basically the same guys, except for the QB.
  6. They should. I don’t see anyone stopping them, unless there’s a team out west I don’t know about. I’m afraid they’re gonna drop off a bit after this season and losing the big 3. We hammered their JV by 30, so unless they have some move-in’s, they’ll drop off a bit. Of course Wright is a great coach and can work wonders. Hard not to drop off after losing the guys they’ll lose after this season.
  7. Tough 2 point loss to Fulton last night, who I think is one of the better teams in the state regardless of classification. The big 3 of the twins and Lee is hard to contain. I thought the foul on Coop was an awesome defensive play by him, and was a bad call. Would we have won if that call isn’t made? Not necessarily, but it surely didn’t help, and at the end of the day is just an excuse. It was a legitimate clean block though, if you go back and watch it. At the end of the day, though, we couldn’t take care of the basketball when we needed to the most, and I think our kids will really benefit from this game, even though we lost. It was a tremendous game and well played. No trash talking, just 2 class programs playing their tails off and competing. I also wanted to give a shoutout to the whole Fulton program and Coach Wright for wearing those pregame warmup shirts to commemorate Brennen Scott. That was very classy of them.
  8. The pis$ at Hairtidge just got a tad bit warmer.
  9. Saw Tyler Lee play for Fulton tonight against Oak Ridge. Great player.
  10. I hope so. As an OR fan, I always like to see DB do well. When they aren’t playing us, at least.
  11. When did 9-3 become a bad or even mediocre record anyway? Tough crowd.
  12. That’s if kids don’t transfer out, etc. Not trying to be a Debbie downer, but you know how that is in this day and age. Always have to consider that at any program unfortunately.
  13. I thought they should’ve won. They were at what, the 2 yard line on first down going in for the wining score, and flubbed it. But, on the other hand you have to give West props for stopping them too. But man, they seriously flubbed it there at the end. It was definitely terrible clock management. Them and West were about as even as two teams can get. Neither team was what I would call clear cut better than the other. West just made a few great plays on D @ the end, with a bit of help from the Page coaching staff’s terrible clock management.
  14. How are pops and the boy doing, BTW? Youngin should be about to graduate, right? Hard to believe. Tell pops I said hello for me.
  15. Haha. Yeah, will never forget it. BR/RWK was a trip. He was a pain in the #### but made the board interesting. I remember when he challenged Greyrider (Maryville poster) to a 40 yard dash in the parking lot of Full Service BBQ in Maryville. Hilarious.
  16. Haha. “Mr. Breakaway speed” himself.
  17. In my opinion, somewhere like TT or UT-Martin.
  18. What do you want them to do exactly? Make Brandon bigger, stronger, and faster overnight? I am pretty sure he topped out a few year(s) ago, as in he peaked physically a while back. I’m sure they’ll happily take any tips you can provide them, though. You seem to know everything else, so let’s hear it?
  19. We will have other options step up. Always do.
  20. Will has more God gifted ability, by a long shot.
  21. I do think Will Pressley has legit P5 talent, for what it’s worth. Just a feeling I have. That kid can fly and will be 6’3-6’4 before he leaves. Doesn’t mean he will end up being one, but he has natural physical abilities that you can’t coach, as in blazing speed and height, just the WR body type. Long and lean.
  22. You’re definitely entitled to your opinion, although I don’t agree with it whatsoever.
  23. You just have it out for Rang & Gaddis. Trust me, it’s obvious. Couldn’t be more obvious honestly.
