  1. Lawrence Co. got it handed to them tonight by Summertown 9-0. Summertown came out hungry and Lawrence County got outplayed and outcoached. The players did not look ready to start the season off. Hope this isn't how the whole year will be or else lawrence co. may be looking up from the bottom of the barrel.
  2. I have to say this is the most boring 8AAA thread for any sport I have ever seen. Usually baseball is cut-throat. Where are all of the arguments guys. Come'on
  3. Lawrence Co. has to be mentioned in this post. If you are a star player you struggle the student section. They will get in your head and you will hear it until you step back on the bus to go home. For a High School event it is a freak show. And they travel well. Just ask any 8AAA team!!!
  4. Scratch that. District 8aaa.com is not helpful in this. Sorry about that
  5. Thanks dad. My high school career is almost over but I think big sam might be interested. I have a bracket but I can't post it. If you check out the district 8aaa website you might can find it there but I don't know that for a fact.
  6. The winner of Shelbyville and Lawrence Co. will play Columbia in Columbia on Saturday. The loser will play the loser of Franklin Co. vs. Lincoln Co. Sunday in Franklin Co. The winner of the Columbia vs. Shelby/Law Co. game on Saturday will not play again until Monday in Franklin Co.
  7. Lawrence County's Dylan Bosheers is batting over .550 this year with 4 HR's. He is one of the best SS's in the state and probably the best in the district defensively.
  8. Lawrence Co. won 10-2 last night. Play Lincoln Co. again tonight at home.
  9. As a huge fan of Lawrence Co. Basketball I am sad that this didn't happen this year because it will be my last year here in High School. Our Student Section would've loved the opportunity to harass the kids from both north and south. O well. Looks like I will make some trips home from college to see those games.
  10. Lawrence Co. for sure. Everybody leaves the gym with their tail between their legs knowing that they just got whooped.
  11. I agree that they take the brightest, but the best? Come on now Alabama,LSU,Tennessee,Florida,USC,Texas,Oklahoma,Notre Dame, and etc... take the best. Let's not stretch it to say he had offers from all of these schools and he took the one from Citadel. I know you didn't say that, but that's what it sounded like. Citadel is great academically but atheletically they are not. Therefore they are not the best.
  12. Both Columbia and Siegel have extremely large lineups. Siegel has to 6'9 guys and a 6'6 PG in Kerry Hammonds who is absolutely phenomenal when on. Columbia has a couple of guys 6'7, 6'8 and up. Columbia also has a great scoring PG in James English. I know the Memphis teams are favorites but Siegel and Columbia cannot be looked over.
  13. They didn't. The girls lost to Lavergne who at one point this season put on a 23 game win streak. The boys won the district and lost to Siegel by one point in OT. Both Siegel and Columbia (who the boys beat twice) made it to the AAA state tournament.
  14. First off you have only see us by twice..and I'm guessing that those were both Lawrence County games. Yall are AAA and we played with you, until your guys pulled away in the 4th. That being said Tyler Rice is our best player and our leader, but we have other guards that are more than capable of scoring. Our last 3 games have been total team efforts with Rice leading us. We have had 5 players in double figures too. Parrish, Brantley, and Austin Rice have been playing great. Go Wildcats!! Well freak, You didn't hang with LC through three periods. LC has had the game in the bag by the 2nd period one game and halfway through the third another. I did come watch Wayne Co. play the regions and I still stand by what I said. They have other guards but if Rice ain't hitting then none of them are hitting. This Wayne Co. team will not make it if they run into a post prescence (which they eventually will). Sorry Wildcats, but yall are about to be tamed.
  15. I have seen Wayne Co. play twice this year and the way to beat them is simple. You play Rice and let him take his shots, he can't score every point. He shot very well in one game against Lawrence Co. but as a team they are not one. Very easy to get in their head if you have an opposing student section. I don't see this Wayne Co. team making it past this first game.
