  1. Franklin is getting a super great guy that will bring lots of energy to the program. He has lots of football knowledge and leadership qualities. He was Gallatin's special teams coordinator. The official announcement should come in the next day or two.
  2. Another funny thing, I don't remember which year, maybe 2020, when Glencliff and Gallatin was in the same region the last year. It was getting closer and closer to kickoff time at the Wave Yard, and still no Glencliff. They finally rolled in just before kickoff, pretty much marched to their sideline, and started playing the game with zero warmups.
  3. Every bit (or I should say every bite)!
  4. I've hurt myself a time or two at Top Hog!
  5. Here's what it looks like for Gallatin: Win and they're in, and assuming Cookeville beats Wilson Central they're 3rd. If Wilson Central pulls off the improbable upset they'd be 2nd. If Gallatin loses, they're out if Green Hill beats Mt Juliet. If Mt Juliet wins they'd be 4th.
  6. He took a helmet to the knee 2 minutes before halftime last Friday. He has an MRI scheduled later in the week.
  7. The only part of this that makes sense is 6th and 7th.
  8. Of course there's Lebanon still sitting there, assuming they beat Wilson Central this week, what happens if they pull the upset over MJ in week 9. If that happens and Gallatin takes care of business against Cookeville and WC, that would set up an interesting week 11. Lots of football to go. It's definitely looking like Blackman will be region 3's 3rd seed, unless they can upset Riverdale.
  9. I know this is looking ahead and we really shouldn't do that, but even if Gallatin wins out, there's a definite possible scenario they could finish 3rd and would get a road game in the 1st round. The easy scenario is Mt Juliet and Gallatin win out, and Green Hill wins all but the MJ game. MJ is 1, Wave 2, GH 3. But what if GH beats MJ, and the 3 way tie is created. The next tie breaker after head to head is overall record, and in that scenario the Hendersonville loss bites Gallatin. GH is 1, MJ is 2, Wave is 3. Shoot me for looking ahead, because there's still lots of football to go, but that's something to think about.
  10. Or the right open weeks between the two don't allow it to work out.
  11. My aren't we the negative nanny. Hopefully we move on now from Gallatin's terrible scheduling, the fact that nobody wants to move to the dump it is here, a place where it's impossible to ever have a winning program again, and where a great player with outstanding character was unfortunately allowed to move away. This game is huge for both teams, and should be a really good one. It should go down to the wire, with the winner probably being the team that doesn't blink on offense in the 4th quarter. Mid 70's at kickoff, big crowd, it'll be a great atmosphere!
  12. I think it might be close for a half but Hendersonville wins 35-14.
  13. I would add at least MJ playing Green Hill to that list, to see how all 4 seeds shape up.
  14. Big night at the Wave Yard, perfect weather, should be a great game!
  15. Yes the visiting side will be fully open.
  16. If you think everybody was furious before over all the unnecessary money poured into Liberty Creek, just wait until all this gets completely out there. You ain't seen nothing yet!
  17. I'm pretty sure you're a good tipper so we should be able to work that out!
  18. The visiting side is very close to being finished and should be in full operation by next Friday night.
  19. I've already told you this but congrats to both of you on your retirements. I'm looking forward to seeing you at the opener next Friday, and continuing our tradition over the last 13-14 or so years of meeting on the field post game, no matter who wins.
  20. Franklin at Lebanon Siegel at Cookeville Wilson Central at Smyrna
  21. Hendersonville goes to East Robertson. Green Hill has FRA at Oakland.
