  1. Sounds nice. I hope they don’t put it out toward Seymour with the baseball field.
  2. Yes. Or Lower Alabama if cruitin in the pan handle.
  3. Stars-FYI-I hear LA has a young RB being courted by Lane. I hope LA doesn’t build a wall!
  4. Same thing in baseball. And football for that matter.
  5. The one with the hammer should drive out toward Seymour for one of the home baseball games. If you come during a track meet, you can also get your walking steps in for the week. It’s like nobody talks to each other.
  6. Does the AD not have a role in what the athletic programs do at 825? ADs are in the administration for a reason after all.
  7. Back to grass! All for it! BTW - I saw a nice looking new field out near walland gap yesterday. It looks great. I hear the one in LA also looks good. How long before the "new" thing is having a real grass field?
  8. And I didn’t know they had a swim team. Prolly $1K to be on those teams as well. I think the golf coach should be an easy fill. I can’t remember many good divers except for a couple of buddies that used to jump out of the trees up at the Sinks.
  9. Does the new kid play baseball? Let me guess… Or can he teach hitting?
  10. I think the new gym floor also has some yellow paint on the floor.
  11. Never underestimate the power of Christmas Day garbage service! The gift that keeps giving.
  12. The rebs are lucky to have such fans…credit to you rw. I watched online. It looked like we were as good as Cookeville, but not that day. Great season for those 2 seniors and all. Best team in ET.
  13. I realize this is an early football thread, and there are various rumors floating around about portal opportunities, but has anyone else noticed the segregation of athletic programs at 825? For the first time in my 12 yrs, I didn’t see a fan or school official at any of the baseball games during spring break - only parents. Maybe it’s only happening with baseball? I hope the basketball team got support in the glass house. Did anybody go to middle TN other than parents?
  14. Good for them. You never know. They got a shooter, a center, a point guard, and a shutdown defender. Hopefully, they can make some shots.
  15. Thx Crow. The young boys from 825 may be shell shocked, but don’t dismiss them.
  16. Best of luck to the boys from 825 tomorrow! What’s Cookeville got?
  17. Lol. Offering to take Barn to the train station. When does the football chatter officially start? After dead … uhh … sorry Barn … later in the summer?
  18. Barn-you shouldn’t have admitted to not being a voter! lol. I do appreciate you paying $10 for those five dollar season tickets. You probably saved one of my kids a few dollars.
  19. Not sure, they all start running together for me. It had to be around the same time. If I’m not mistaken, a new booster club president was put in place around that time as well.
  20. There are many on this board who are much better connected to the happenings at 8:25 than I am. My opinions are strictly limited to what I’ve seen through my sons involvement over the last 12 years or so. Yes, that is more than one son over 12 yrs! Lol My primary criticism has been how segmented the athletic programs have become. I had hoped it was just an anomaly when one of my oldest sons missed his graduation ceremony to attend his baseball substate game. Talk about a lack of planning! That’s inexcusable. Most recently, one sports program is having a game on the same night the basketball team is playing for a chance to play in the state tournament. That is kind of ridiculous. There are other examples. IMO BETTER integration among sports programs is needed. Everyone used to completely support football. Now, the other programs support football, but not at the expense of their own team. Players have become more dedicated to one sport because the coaches encourage that. If we are going to play that game, we need to add on facilities because we will need another thousand kids at 8:25. Part of the AD role in the administration should be to form that connection between individual sports programs (and academics for that matter). Otherwise, I’m not sure how an AD is being utilized. It includes more than eating lunch together.
  21. Hmmm…what year was the change made at AD?
