  1. " but SC has not faced a pass rush like ER has. SC O-line will have a hard time handling ER athletes and size. " " If SC still had the QB who went to Beech they would have a better chance at beating ER," Heck of an observation. Can't wait to see this. Except, I think I already did....Sept. 22nd.
  2. Ahhhh, Look the Miniature Mailman. I see you still got that SC envy. I think the last time I heard from you was something about MC /press box/ and handcuffs. LOL. Being from Whinemore, what would you know about an athletic team? You may have seen one, or thought you seen one, but most teams look athletic against Westy. Whinemoreland moved down a few years ago, and you know what happened? Nothing, same ole Whinemoreland.
  3. Could have been but wasn't. Even with 165 yards, only 7 points scored on a short field due to a botched punt.
  4. OK, I am just a little confused. If I understood right DC will probably play MC in the tournament , and CC will play SC . The winner of SC/CC plays at LA or York and the winner of DC/MC plays at H2O. Does that sound right?
  5. I'm thinking H2O will be 7-7 Cannon Co. 5-9 DC 6-8 If H2O drops to 6-8 and DC goes 6-8 what's the tie breaker as they split regular season?
  6. I really don't think we will have any better understanding after tonight. Teams 2-8 are close, There's not a lot of separation. Watertown beat MC by 21and SC by 38. DC beat MC by 2 in overtime and Watertown by 8. York may end up being #2 . The rest, who knows, It looks like it depends on who has a good night or bad night. I like it though, makes each game a lot more interesting and unpredictable.
  7. Because of attendance restrictions, nobody has seen much ball, What you get from family that can attend ( sometimes a little bias ), and what you hear on radio, looks like Upperman is at and will stay on top with Macon on the bottom. All the rest are pretty even. Have a good night, you win, and bad night you loose. And with HS kids, good or bad can happen in the matter of days. Has been interesting so far.
  8. I see where DC took them Bees to task the other night, so DC may be (may be) a little better than most thought. Beating Watertown and making Upperman sweat a little ( at Upperman ) Good to see them competitive. And ya know what, it's them same coaches they had for the past 2 years, Reckon they just now got one of them Books...Basketball for Dummies, I wonder where ole Iceman is with his moaning and groaning about how terrible his team is. It's become an annual tradition,,,.. What about it Icy, guess if you can say something bad, don't say anything at all...…..
  9. Looks like everybody had DC picked around 5th/6th and Watertown anywhere from 2nd to 4th. DC beat undefeated Watertown Friday. Anybody see the game? What happened? Watertown have an off night, or DC better than expected? Just a little surprising to me.
  10. I'm a little disappointed. I was really expecting more than just a "totally different assessment". That seems a little weak from someone who seems to have strong opinions. I don't know about the backwards part after looking at the history provided. I think DCTiger may be right. Seems every sport is year-round now. and kids pick 1-2. With BB overlapping FB and Baseball, playing all 3 may be too much. If a kid plays all 3, they get what, 2 weeks dead period, and that's it.
  11. No. I do not have any ties to DC highschool whatsoever, so basically what I offer is an unbias opinion. It's just the nearest place to me to watch BB, ( Nothing to do in cold-dark-wet months) I do know a few of the parents, I only gave an opinion of what I see and think. I notice you said my assessments are way off, but yet, you offer none yourself. So I'll pose the question to you, are you close to a player(s), a disgruntled player, ex player?
  12. They can. Jones plays hard, he just needs to learn to play with more control. Jenkins and Antonic need to work on their shot and get more consistent. Same with Young, work on shot and some on ball control and passing. Hale needs to really work on passing and attitude, he is up and down. Ramos just needs to kee working and get experience. Young guys will need to step up-Brown-Agee-and big kid with injured knee. I don't know but I hear that there 1-2 coming from Jr. high with potential. I also like that the assistant coach has the JV team playing a lot of games. I haven't seen many but folks I talk too say he does a good job. I think it pays off down the road
  13. The better question is how many did White and Cook average? All those named started at some point or played many minutes this year. Jenkins and Jones are Jrs. Young, Antonic and Hale are soph. Ramos is a freshman. There may be 2-3 freshmen that step up a little next year and give some quality minutes. Ramos got ton better as the season went along and played great for a freshman. The rest --Young-Jenkins, Hale and Antoniac were JV most of the year last year. I saw 3/4 JV games at the start of last year last year, If you did, you see how far they have come. Improvement in every aspect of the game is the goal of any coach, or should be. In my opinion there was improvement in Jones, Jenkins, Young, Hale, Antonica, and Ramos.
  14. I agree. Who would have thought 2 weeks ago that DC would beat MC and take CC to the wire in the tournament? And if Jones hadn't rolled his ankle, who knows what would happened. And Antoniac, Jenkins, Young and Ramos returning next year ,
  15. The key against CC is guard play. CC is longer and as quick or quicker than DC at guard. Makes it harder to shoot or work the ball inside. Ramos had the best game he's had all year shooting and playing defense. The bigs worked hard last night, but I think defense won that one. Not as many turnovers and causing turnovers. To me, Antoniac and Jenkins makes a huge difference when on the floor, especially on defense. The last 2-3 game either 1 or both were out ( injuries/sick ?)
