I would have hoped if I was one of the players, that I would have confronted the coach before the game and said we ain't doing this. But I probably would not have. It would make for a great ESPN 30 for 30. Interview the coaches, refs, principals, the upset momma's and daddy's. Whoever has connections get that ball rolling. Found this from an old email about a situation in a game. Thought it was kinda funny. Score was 5-3 at the time. We batted out of order and our guy got a base hit with 2 outs. our next guy comes up and fouls one off then the opposing brought it to the umpires attention. according to rule 6.07 article C once a pitch is thrown it's too late to be called out. The umpire ruled us out and inning over. Wrong ruling. We even tried to tell him the rule but he didn't change. He had time to put us back on first and an 0-1 count which is what he should have done before the next half inning started. His hat said TSSAA. He should know better. Please send this to all umpiring crew chiefs.

Pretty sure he he was not a major league scout. I think the guy you are referring to is nicknamed "Rainman". Good at stealing signs but pays $100.00 for every item he gets at the concession stand. Invite him to your ballpark, he is a great fundraiser.

I coach a team that played HAH and after the game I talked to a staff member from MTSU. This staff member was at the game because we talked about a player or 2 in front of our dugout. He may not have had on his MTSU gear that day but he was there. Again just because you didnt see them there personally doesn't mean they weren't there.
