  1. No one new from last years team that isn’t from the US MS. So nope.
  2. University High beat South Greene by 20 last night. Small school team playing solid.
  3. The last game was not played with the same defensive scheme as previous. Make everyone but Britton beat you. If the can will see and I will take the team that won when it mattered. UH was a different team at the end of the season. All UH is back minus one as well. It will be UH or NG with Hampton moving up.
  4. They aren’t beating UH when it is 5 versus 1. Don’t have enough support to help Britton. Unless the exchange program can provide about 3 players.
  5. Same to Hampton. Hopefully both district 1 teams make a run.
  6. University is in. 71-52 over Greenback.
  7. Yeah for sure. Just off topic and extending whatever the kid was trying to say to call him out stinks. Maybe it deserves its own thread it is so hot but sure not talking about a contender. Much respect to the Britton kid. He is a player and was glad to see him at the game tonight for his all region performance and accolades.
  8. Would agree except holding a Mr. Basketball candidate to 8 points says there is a little more to the story. And just to note I think that player is a top notch kid and player. Overall it was a defensive game and UH won that side of game. Those shots that you mention were all pretty well contested.
  9. Not sure why a team out of tournament life is still a subject but props to UH beating Hampton again for Region 1 title. UH is hot at the right time. Hampton played a good game and should be a tough match up for Oneida. Solid team.
  10. Would be tough. Hampton is solid all the way around. Buckles is a heck of a player and has a good supporting cast. Hampton is without a doubt had the best season in ETN 1A. But in tournaments you never know. Think UH is a year away from reaching potential but good Junior and Sophomore group.
  11. Be tough but if Jordan #10 for UH can blanket Buckles like he did Britton they have a partial chance. The other part will be trying to match up with Hamptons big man. Last game was close and had a barrage of fouls 10 to 3 right at the end. No excuse just a fact with both teams driving to the hoop. Hopefully a good game. Defense won UH the game against NG. Many players stepped up.
  12. Total Medals: Region 1 = 24 Region 2 = 27 Region 3 = 33 1st Place Medals: Region 1 = 6 Region 2 = 6 Region 3 = 2 2nd Place Medals: Region 1 = 4 Region 2 = 3 Region 3 = 7
  13. Good point but 2 Chuckey Doak kids were on the 12 year old team and a 3rd joined them on the 13 year old team best I remember. Then South Greene in A Sectionals had 1 kid on those teams.
  14. Just a fun fact - Many of the Greeneville and Spring Hill Senior Class members split Little/Junior League State Titles when they were 12 and 13. Spring Hill winning when 12 and Greeneville winning when they were 13. Proof good travel team programs and LL programs in those locations.

  16. I hope Bowman pitches the first game. He, in my opinion, is the best option to have a game 2. The bats need to show up for sure. Someone will have to be the sparkplug and get hot quickly to set the tempo. The play at the plate probably didn't deserve being tossed. It did deserve the out, but ejection, probably not. He took a hard swat at the mitt and made moderate contact. Could have gone either way I guess. The errors have to be fixed for sure. No reason this team makes that many. Can't win a championship with errors. Could be the key to tonight.
  17. So both Grainger and Greeneville come in off high scoring wins Saturday. Who wins the head to head tonight? Should be a good one.
  18. http://www.nfhsnetwork.com/dvds The link should lead you there (if the filters remained), but if not I know the website sells them.
  19. 14. Seagraves - 170 13. Parker - 195 12. King - 132 11. Sutherland - 160 10. Murphy - 138 9. Elkin - 113 8. Simpson - 106 7. Chalifoux - 120 6. Morrice - 152 5. Stacey - 220 4. Harrelson - 145 3. Reinche - HWT 2. Holloway - 182 1. Reinche - 126
  20. Pretty hard after the first 5. I just know if there was one weight class not to bet on I think 220 is it for sure. 14. Debien - 132 13. Kennedy - 170 12. Navarro - 113 11. Russell - 195 10. Solomon - 182 9. Hicks - 106 8. Boykin - Hwt 7. Fuller - 126 6. Garrison - 160 5. Feuerbacher - 138 4. Hamilton - 152 3. Russo - 145 2. Shrader - 120 1. Kennett - 220
  21. Agreed. Just thinking of who they may have in the finals. Those three came to mind. I think Breeden PF @ 220 will be hard to beat.
  22. I would say Region 3's best chances are Hammonds @ 113, Pennington @ 126, or Cartwright @ 285 and they will have some tough competition at those weights. 285 is a real handful to even get to Sammy with Gregory in the semis. I would say 126 is there best opportunity for a state champ.
  23. I would say losing to Croley by pin, Bankston by dec., and Arnold by inj. def. over the last two weeks prompted the 3rd of 4th place comment. He is a fine wrestler and can compete with the top of that weight class for sure. Has a tough 2nd round with Heyward. Guess we shall see.
  24. No its free. Look under "tournaments" , search by state - Tennessee, and should see the 2015 TSSAA State Championships so click on it. Then after it comes up, go click "results" and then "brackets". should be right there in the scroll down box.
