Panthermom, What you do for the parents and players is commendable and enjoyed by many. Please don't let someone try to bully you. I have no idea what the situation is with highschoolfan and couldn't imagine that anything you have posted has been offensive to anyone. The school has absolutely no jurisdiction on this site and any coacht board rules are enforced here. Keep doing what you're doing!! Us team fans really appreciate it!! Has anyone noticed that the three that quit were all volleyball players. Obviously a volleyball fan here slamming the staff and team. It's real obvious where the real cancer is. Like I said in a previous post, if basketball is not your priority, you only deserve the scraps of playing time that are left after the committed ones play the game. Stone Memorial should be very strong next year, depending on how much the players work on individual skills this summer and whether or not the girls can accept their roles for the teams benefit. One thing I noticed in the state tourneys this year is the patience on offense of all teams that won. They didn't just jack up the first look, but waited till they got a great shot. That takes self discipline and TEAM ball. Success isn't measured strictly by how many games you win or your record, but by playing to the potential of the talent that you have. Next year's team has a ton of talent. Look for good things to come.

Great season Lady Panthers. Wish the refs would have let the girls more decide the outcome, but oh well. Congrats to Marshall and good luck. To the complainers about the CC school split, take your comments to the school board and don't waste time here. I assure you no one on this thread cares about your whining and complaining. I asked for that not to be a discussion on this thread and it's obvious you have no respect for anyone. GROW UP AND GET OVER IT! Good luck next year Lady Panthers. Work hard this summer. Realize what your weaknesses are and do whatever it takes to improve them. Only teams that are committed to ecellence will succeed and only players committed to excellence make a great team. Basketball must be your first prioity if you expect playing time and success in basketball. It has to come before soccer, volleyball, sofball, boyfriends, etc.. If you are not willing to make that committment, you have absolutely no right to complain about anything that happens in basketball. This team has enough remaining talent to be back in the tournament next year if, and only if, the players want it bad enough are are willing to do what it takes. Leaders need to step up right now and start setting the tone for what will be expected to be a part of this team. Anyone not willing to do what is expected needs to stay home and whine to mamma, permanently. That may sound a little harsh, but that is what it will take for this team to surpass this years accomplishment. Good luck to Krystal and Erica. We enjoyed watching you play! Don't know much about Marshall and was wondering if anyone had any thoughts about the GAME and how these two will match up Wednesday night. They only have one common opponent and both games were early in the season. If anyone has seen both teams play it would be great to hear some opinions.

I agree Stone Age. Why should classification mean anything at this point in the season unless others are just looking for excuses for their own shortcomings. Fact is Stone is where TSSAA says it should be, period. The Lady Panthers have not had a perfect season but I didn't see any other AA schools with 0 losses either. These girls can compete with anyone in the state when they play up to their capability. They have beaten some of this year's state tourney playoff teams in both A and AAA and played to within one point of powerhouse AA Austin East in one game. Other than the regional championship game, this team has played some awesome ball lately. I think they are peaking at the right time and will keep their composure in the glass house. I don't know where shpshter93 got the idea that Vandy had a post player from York. This really has nothing to do with this thread anyway. Seems like the posts got off subject for a little while. I would really love to see the Stone Lady Panthers make some big noise. Top of bracket seems to be anyones to take. Appears that all teams are fairly evenly matched in the W/L categories from that half. Same on the other half but with better W/L percentages. Will be interesting to see how this one plays out. LET"S PLAY BALL! GO LADY PANTHERS!!!!

No offense shpshter93, but you might want to check your facts out on this one. I'm pretty sure Brandi is at Middle but there is a lot I don't know.

You obviously have no idea what you are talking about. The county school board set hard zoning for the two high schools. The only kids that had a choice were the seniors and they could only attend the new school if they were zoned for it. You need to check your sources before you start posting something that you "heard". They had no clue what they were talking about either.

We Stone Memorial fans are just now getting home so our posts are a bit later (by about four hours). That was an awesome game by two great teams! The Cyclones were without a doubt the classiest group of people we have been privileged to step on the floor with. Starting with the Principal and her opening remarks all the way to the congratulations after the game was over. You have a tradition of class there and it should be used as a role model for every school in the state. Of course my opinion is based on our one trip there. School spirit and student support were tremendous. Hats off to the administration for nurturing that. Your pride could be felt by all. The Lady Cyclones are a talented group of girls and this game could have went either way down to the last minute and a half. This is what HS ball is all about and it's a shame either team had to lose. Great Job Coach's Smith, Miller, Egan and Buck, Alley and Davis. The girls were prepared and confident coming in. That's half the battle. Awesome job girls for giving it all you had down to the last second. Heart pulled you through and you have accomplished something that has never been done before in Cumberland County. We are so proud of you!! Would really love to see this team get support from the entire county especially our friends from CCHS. I promise I and many other Stone fans would be there cheering you on if the tables were turned. We still pull for you in all games except for two and that's when we play each other. Can't wait for the Boro! It will be an trip to remember for a lifetime!!
