I've been out of the area for a few years, but I noticed that Obion County is 5-2. How are they looking this year? I know they have dropped off the last couple of years. It would be nice to see them have a strong season.

But wouldn't the fact that since WV gets three times as many foul calls on them that that is a detriment to OC's game. Takes them out of their rhythm and also gives WV more points by putting a great shooting team on the free throw line. So even though OC didn't execute, the refs essentially are giving WV the best opportunity to win...

treefitty74 - I was listening to the district championship on the radio and it seemed that Central did make some mistakes at the end of the game (turnovers and by stalling a little when they had the lead), but in the final stats Westview had 32 free throw attempts to OC's 9. That seems a little far fetched to me, but I wasn't there so I can't make the call if the refs lost it for them or not, just wanted an opinion if you were there to watch it all unfold.

Obion County has beaten both Fayette Ware and Lexington this season, although it was early on. So that side of the bracket should be a fun one to watch. And I think everyone is looking forward to the Westview/South Side matchup in the Semi's. I'm predicting a Fayette Ware/OC matchup and the Westview/SouthSide for the semi's. Then a OC/SouthSide matchup for the finals!

Obion County beats South Gibson 66-57

I'm going to predict a Westview/Dyersburg matchup for the title. I think that this being Myah's senior year she will step up her game for tournament time and I see her being trouble for Crocket. Westview is playing on their home floor and they play great at home, so they should beat South Gibson if they defend the 3 point line. Should be an interesting rest of the tournament and regionals for sure.

OC 56 - Westview 70. Westview came out hot in the second half and OC just went cold. Lead got up to 20 and then OC made a small push in the fourth to get it to 11. Looking forward to a fourth meeting in district tournament.

I'm going to say Obion County in a close game similar to the last time they played. OC by 5.

I was at the OC vs. GC game tonight and I was not that impressed with GC's play. They have a couple of girls that are very talented, but to be #3 in the state I wasn't blown away. I think Union City picks up another win probably by the same margin (18-20) and stays undefeated.

Yeah, if I'm correct I am pretty sure that Dianna Flippen from OC transferred in a couple of weeks ago.

Yes. Cleaner. When OC played Westview the last two times. Westview's Vincent was literally holding Brandi Goodman's arms down. She was hooking her the entire game and pushing her in the back the whole game. This will definitely not fly at the Boro. That is why OC did so well at the Boro last year because they play clean ball. This is exactly why I think Covington will be better at the Boro because there is a difference between playing physical and playing dirty. Westview crosses this line, Covington doesn't. But that's just my opinion.

GCPioneer please tell me who on this Martin Westview team has played in a game in Murfreesboro. The last time Westview was in MBoro was in 2010 when all their current starters were freshman. I doubt they got any experience that year. Just saying. Yes, they are well coached, but they have no experience playing in the state tournament. I also think Covington has a better chance at state because I feel that Covington plays a cleaner game than Westview. Westview plays to "dirty" for lack of other words.
