The ball doesn’t have to go inside the pylon, it just has to cross the plain before the runner is down or a part of him touches out of bounds. I saw a view from the middle of the end zone that makes it definitely look like a TD, but who knows.

How does CPA benefit from playing up? Why are teams seen as cowards for playing in the classification they are supposed to? I never understand these arguments. If teams choose to play up because they think they can compete, great. It doesn't mean teams that do not move up should be looked down on or that their accomplishments do not matter. I think most of the time these arguments come from teams that are tired of losing to them and want them out of their division.

How many students does Catholic have?

I could be wrong, but if it's about weather the kids want to play that extra game or not, I would guess most of them do. Unless, they have a coach they hate or something.

Not that I disagree with this sentiment. However, I do find it ironic that during covid people were doing everything they could to find games for kids to play in but when it comes to the playoffs we get in a tizzy over the kids getting to play in one more (half of the teams) 2 more games. And its not like the TSSAA gets all of the gate from these games both teams get some of it. That may not be enough to offset travel, but it is something. If the TSSAA getting the money is the complaint, I would say the bigger argument comes with the streaming service, that could possibly keep the attendance down, and the schools do not get any of that money. At least that's what I have heard.

Wasn't the clinic bowl the first game of the year at one point? Is that when the money went to the charity, the championship game, or both? I'm not sure, I couldn't read the article.

I think this would cause problems. Only way to say the amount of financial aid spent on sports would be to add up the total given to all athletes. If it was total then it could hurt the bigger schools that have more students that participate in other sports. If you did it by average given to student athlete, would it make it less likely for certain students to get financial aid if they weren't a star in a sport. Would it make it harder for girls to get financial aid? If you only did it based on football again would it make it harder for a kid that wants to attend school there, can only do it with financial aid, but will never be a starter? I don't know if there is a better way to do it than numbers.
