Nick Meeks is a GC HOF’er.......and the circle you know what that has become the HOF in Grundy (bunch of old men patting each other on the hind end for what they couldn’t do today considering the times and advances in the sport) will probably never give the man who set the Standard for throwing the football  in Grundy county the honor he deserves......

No one, and I mean no one, has done more for that program, while I was driving 30 percent of the team to practice , he was driving another 30 percent of the team to practice......... he just has more patience then I do, (what Colquette told me I needed to have with the then HC) and could tolerate it......

If you’re a GC football fan you owe nick Meeks a thank you for every single W the program has experienced since Nick Bryant was HC....

    Wow

It’s like this, when you take out part of the trash and leave some rotten apples in the bottom of the can it will start stinking again at some point. Should have gotten rid of everyone on the staff when he was hired.

Or those apples were what had the trash stinking to begin with

Coach Jones would still be at Grundy if he hadn’t started helping football. Unfortunately he bought into what Tate was selling and it costed him. But on another note, I’m not sure how many games Grundy will win this year but regardless of record I hope that our county or school does something to honor the dedication of Ethan Nunley. He has stayed the course and when his fellow seniors left Grundy, he never waived. In my opinion he will go down as one of my all time favorite Jackets. Thank you young man!!!!!

    What was Tate selling

  4. not as long as them Bryant boys are still coaching.  same ol routine.....part time coaches with full time pay.  glad to see coach tate back at grundy to coach them little jackets.  I know it wasn't them Bryant boys idea to let him coach the middle school.  they have never showed interest in the middle school program.  does anyone know why they are not using the high school weight room?  it seems like that would be the perfect place.  I think that knocks a lot of kids out of playing on the north end to have to drive all the way to tracy.

Maybe he wanted to put distance between himself and the high school program. How many kids are playing from North End? How many from Tracy?

  5. this is the same workout regiment that has been going on since the Bryant boys took the job.  they don't start working out until the end of march, 3 days a week, and the boys don't take it serious because they are not coached on how to do a workout correctly.  the one coach that stays with the team is sitting back in the office playing video games.  do you think kids that age are going to take it serious?  don't get me wrong, not all the kids goof off.  there is several that goes to the local  gyms and workout because they are dedicated.

That doesn't match up with what I've been told, but you would probably know better than me. The current workouts were described like this, but not the workouts of the past couple of years.

  6. If you had two schools, the people would go all out to beat the other high school. You know like that Big 8 thing you do. The high school that was losing would try its best to hire a coach that could beat the other high school (Marion, South Pitt) they are good because they have next door competition. Without competition complacency sets in. Nobody in Grundy expects to win and nobody cares. Thats why your sorry coach gets to keep his job. But if the coach was losing to high school in same county changes would be made. And from what I hear your losing the one good coach you had.
