  1. Does one have to have HC experience to be a HC? Its nice if they have had success but most of them already have jobs. I see no difference in hiring a proven assistant over a known mediocre HC. JMO.
  2. Dont say this much, but I will be pulling for the Warriors tonight. I hope they can come together as a team and pull out the win.
  3. There are basic ways to slow a rush down if your having trouble blocking it. Screens, slants, now routes, etc.
  4. Wouldn't a proven coach still need proven assistant coaches?
  5. Going to be a good one, but South Pitt pull away late. South Pitt - 41 Dunlap- 20
  6. I'm sure there are coaches willing to become head coaches. Who says that they won't be good people? If people arent happy then change is inevitable. This is how it starts.
  7. We are what we are like it or hate it. You always will be with that attitude. To me that is the attitude of a loser. Sorry. I'm not trying to be mean, but if we are what we are is the attitude of a team or fanbase then yes its time for change on some level.
  8. Sour Grapes over your son not getting playing time. And thats all that is, but addressing winning up on that hill.....well they have never won a championship in football...ever...in 80 some odd years and I believe Mr.Colquit was the coach there for a period of time so I would say your problems are more than coaching.
  9. I think Jason Evans, Mike Brown, and maybe Heath Mason....? Can't remember that well. Not sure how many years he coached up there.
  10. Are you guys any closer to hiring a coach?
  11. I don't think that holds anybody back these days.
  12. Grundy has historically been a .500 team. If coaching is the problem, then Grundy has had alot of bad coaches for a very long time.
  13. Going to be a tough one for Grundy. On the positive side for Grundy the Irish's opponents this year have a total of 23 wins. Grundy's have 32. Positive side for Irish is that Grundy lost to a weak 1A school Friday.
  14. Feels like your wanting SP to be a bad team. Tyner is not as good as SP. Up....Down....whatever. There are alot of ways to describe a team that isn't very good. They are up and down. They didn't show up. etc. Just ways of saying a team isn't very good.
  15. Thats a good point. I guess maybe he is saying that Grundy could get destroyed by East Hamilton, Tyner, and Blackman just as easily as SM did. I didn't realize that Tyner was so much better that SP.
  16. Grundy will win by more than 11. Whitwell will not score 30 points.
  17. It was a reaction to hearing that Seq and Bledsoe being compared to Signal by the other posters. Signal will win that district next year and the year after. Sequatchie, Bledsoe, and Grundy can have fun fighting it out for second.
  18. Signal....yes, but I wasn't aware that Bledsoe and Sequatchie were State Powerhouses. but keep comparing yourselves to Signal if it makes you feel better. Reality visited Sequatchie last Friday and its coming through Pikeville this Friday.
  19. its "won't" and "where" I don't know where to give credit. Grundy's defense was vulnerable to the pass all year. Take it for what it is.
  20. I'm sure Goodpasture was better but the box score shows them passing for like 10,000 yards in the first two quarters. Thats what I meant by not showing up.
  21. I heard that the Grundy's defense didn't show up again. From scores it doesn't look like they showed up all season. Maybe the coordinatior needs to approach the preparation different next season.
  22. Two high schools that included 7th and 8th grades is an idea that may help Grundy. Sequatchie has Dunlap. Bledsoe has Pikeville. Grundy has small towns scattered through it. Difficult to please everyone.
