  1. good luck to the yellow jackets, be safe on your trip and bring back a win!
  2. Ethan was one of the hardest workers i have ever had the pleasure to coach. His work ethic in the weight room was second to none but he was even more of a leader in the field house, he set high expectations for everyone from his fellow seniors to the incoming freshmen. I wish them a very successful season and i have already mentioned to several of my college coaching friends what a great kid that would get in taking ethan!
  3. grundy county is looking for several football coaches for the 2018 football season, A preference would be given to an offensive line coach or a secondary coach. it is important that the coach be certified to teach in tennessee schools. 12. . YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE GUYS, AND SO DOES EVERYONE ELSE!
  13. congrats to coach Olive, it is good that he is able to move up into administration. I have known him for many years and he is a legend in coaching and truly as good as a coach he is, he is even a better man. He deserves to go out on his own decision. Tullahoma has played some tough games these last two seasons and has to deal with a great deal of inexperience and a lot of injuries to key players, not making excuses but he will get it straightened out. More importantly he has been a consistent role model for his players and done things the right way
  14. we have had 41 sign up sophomore through upcoming seniors for spring practice. We had our first day in the weight room with me and the other coaches yesterday and had in the low 20's. The kids worked very hard. Many of the others are still involved in basketball and some are preparing for track, soccer and baseball. We will be going to our two feeder schools to talk with our upcoming freshmen soon. thanks for asking

  18. having coached Erik Davis i can say he was one of the hardest working players i have ever coached. He will make an exceptional head coach because of his work ethic and the way kids are drawn towards him. Eric was tremendous at Ezell and a great player at Vanderbilt. I have no clue who gets it but i just have a personal stake in how well he does. I know Mose had an incredible career in high school for the burros as well as at tennessee. there is no shortage of good candidates for the hillsboro job.
  19. coach meadows has won everywhere he has been and that is a rare thing among coaches. He is a class individual who seems to get the most out of his kids where every he goes. Hopefully this is not the last we have heard from him. Good luck coach in everything.
  20. thanks wingman10, i hope so also. Crockett will get a good coach. they have good people in the administration that will know what to do when it is time. Go luck pioneers and good luck to my good friend coach jeremy bosken at his new gig!
  21. MM would be a great hire for the job. He is a heck of a coach and a winner. Players i have talked to love to play for him. He is tough and has a great offensive mind. People will knock his off the field problems but everyone makes mistakes and deserves a second and sometimes a third chance.
  22. most of the time there are certain weeks that will be open games depending on whether a team is in a 6,7 or 8 team region. for most teams that usually means that that weeks 1,2,4 and 6 are non-region. Most teams start working on there tentative schedule as early as possible, a gentlemen's agreement so to speak, if you wait to the region teams are all set you may have to settle with who is left over
  23. franklin county's non region schedule was tullahoma, coffee county and warren county. before i stepped down. Community called and wanted to play and then just as quickly backed out. As far as free wins go there are no such things, a win is anywhere you can get it
  24. I would like to take a minute and talk about our objectives from a football program standpoint. The name of the game is to try and win as many games as you want to but the bigger picture is to help student athletes become better men, husbands, fathers and successful as they graduate from high school and move on into adult life. It is hard to disprove what someone with a computer and a agenda can type and hide behind a screen name says but I can say that since i have been there everyday with our kids we would never give our kids a certain number of wins to keep my job or to play for me or any other or our coaches. Our players play for our team, our community and our county which has a proud tradition of football Our kids are being taught to win, fight and compete with class every day. There is nothing to gain for me being on here except that i do not hid behind a screen name, i am scott smith. As for the future of rebel football we will begin cleaning up our field house and storing away equipment after cleaning up and inventorying it. We will begin our off season weight program tomorrow, since all but two players have weight lifting during the day, and start finalizing our next 2 year schedule and begin preparation for our new region opponents. We will focus on getting our senior players that want to play college football a place to play next year. In other words it will be business as usual.
  25. congrats to warren county, players, coaches and fans, there are no bad wins, go get another one
