  1. I was less annoyed by watching the World Cup with their horns. I agree it is pretty cool tradition to have for a TD or a huge play, but using because someone took a step, farted, took a drink of water, or any other absurd reason is a lot much.
  2. I think that he was referring to a literal "coach" of Cinderella. Not of a football "coach". RLH can verify, but that is the way I read it.
  3. I know absolutely nothing about Dresden. However, if they are not big and physical, they will not slow down this big, physical, time consuming offense of FCS. While very predictible, they are still difficult to stop. They just run it down your throat, and then run a pass play for a seemingly easy completion when they need it. They do not play a lot of players both ways considering they are 2A, and the ones that do play both ways are great players. Just by glancing at Dresden's schedule and results and watching FCS play. I would not pick against FCS. I'll be watching it for sure. Good luck to both teams.
  4. I knew the FCS bunch would be tough, but I didnt think they would dominate in that fashion. Congrats, good luck next week. If they play like they did tonight, they should have no trouble. Congrats to OS on a great year! The senior class went from losing 9 games to winning 9 and taking the school further than ever before. I enjoyed watching them play this year, and they laid the foundation for the years to come. Best of luck to the senior class. As far as the game, OS has had a very good run defense this year and the ability to score points on offense. FCS completely dominated the line of scrimmage, and they have the athletes to take advantage. Defensively, they were able to play a 3 front to shut down the run, and plenty of personnel left to shut down the pass. Even after the opportunities were missed by OS to stay in it early, they were completely dominated by a better team. FCS basically tells you what they are going to do and they still get the job done. Give credit to em, they were the better team. I fully expect the consolation prize of saying we were beat by the state champs.

  6. This is pretty spot on pujo, including the 1A part. The OS bunch played with a lot more intensity then I have seen out of them this year. They are playing with a lot of confidence that was missing earlier in the year as well. If they put together one more week of it, who knows. Its funny to see the score comparison game. We all know that is why you play the game. If you didn't FCS would have to just forfeit a 17-0 loss to Trousdale. They showed up, survived and moved on. Im hoping for a safe, clean, hard fought, close ballgame that the Cats can win and play for their first state title.
  7. It seems ask_me has disappeared, and watchdog has appeared. I disliked ill fart less under the postings of ask_me.
  8. One year to deal with him is better than two. That guy is a beast!
  9. You got that right. No telling how many tackles 56 had that first game. Someone said he is just a sophomore. Is that right?
  10. Story I heard was Oneida coach that was "in town" stopped by, was given the wrong one (on purpose if you are from OHS, accident if you are from OSHS). OS coach "took" the correct one next day. Believe what you want, say what you want about the coaches, it doesnt matter. Its about the kids that are going to give it all, and one of the teams gets a chance to be in Cookeville for the big one. I have a preference, but either way it would be great to see one of these teams win it all.
  11. Stunna, one thing you are forgetting is GCA, prob would be the clear favorite at this point, is not in the playoffs (whole diff discussion). Despite that, I still agree AA is down this year. I think if Coalfield or Greenback (Obv S Pitt prob every year) could have chosen to play the AA brackets, they would have a great chance of making it to Cookeville. Hampton's district has always been (in my opinion) overall weak. With that said, both of these teams are worthy. These teams both have improved greatly over the course of the season. The winner could bring home the gold ball or at least represent the East. You think im joking, but Im not in the words of RD. OS only played 2 teams that were not in the playoffs this year. Oneida, only had 3 opponents that did not make it. Despite how good they are (and both ARE good teams), this gonna be a great ballgame. These two teams match up well, and both know what is on the line.
