  1. THP: Single-vehicle crash kills one 2 hours ago CodeRED sign-ups even easier in Clinton 2 hours ago ‘Dine & Donate’ Monday, December 9th 2 hours ago Looks like the Dragons have some talent. Congratulations to them. This is from the WYSH web site. Taking a look first at the All Region 3-5A , several Clinton Dragons made the grade despite a disappointing 2-8 season. They are: Evan Winchester, Bryce Collins, Trevor Linderman, Will Briggs, Connor Moody, and Gavin Bolinger. Collins was recognized as the Region’s Punter of the Year, as well. Trace Thackerson, Blake Cooper and Edwin Resendiz received Honorable Mention accolades. Briggs and Garrett Long were also recognized for their performances in the classroom.
  2. Clinton High School could be a great job. They recently constructed a new football complex with an indoor practice field. There is strong community support and a solid alumni base. They have a history of producing college players even in the lean years. Dr Tipton is a great principal that supports both academics and athletics. The city is ready to move forward with stadium renovations if a new stadium is not built. The biggest thing the new coach will need to do is generate excitement and keep the kids zoned for Clinton in Clinton. Winning a few games cures a lot. If the TSSAA drops to 5 classes that will help too. They are in a tough region but good coaches want to play tough competition. Clinton was undefeated in 2009 and most likely could have won the state if their star running back and linebacker Weston Hazelhurst had not gotten hurt. The stadium was packed and the fans traveled well. The 2019 team finished with two solid wins. The Thackerson kid took over mid season and showed improvement playing quarterback each game. Mckamey laid a foundation that can be built on. Moreover, Clinton is a great place to live and raise a family.
  3. Losing a week of practice & 2 scrimmages had to hurt the offense. Hopefully they will start clicking soon. Both sides of the ball seemed more disciplined & did not fall apart when things did not go their way. We need to encourage these kids. They have been working hard. Good things will come.
  4. Looks like Clowney's record at Emeral High School in South Carolina was 10-22. Did he coach high school ball anywhere else?
  5. Anderson County's best year was in 2001 with an 11-2 record playing AA ball. They have never been to a state championship game.
  6. The application deadline is June 29 at 5:00pm. More information is available at the Anderson County Schools website acs.ac/ . Great school & community. Clinton was picked the number one city to raise a family in Tennessee by Businessweek.

  8. Conan, what classification did Grace play in last year?
