  1. This was standard operating procedure back in the 90s. Crazy how times change Maybe all that time and commitment is what it takes to be elite, and made Clint and Jim B the HOFers that they are Just an old timer's thoughts
  2. Both spots...meaning DOS and new head ball coach? Hard to see how it could be worse I'm just perplexed about the seemingly apathetic attitude of the program. TC=football...pride and tradition, and I fear that's being lost. Playing during the early days of Clint being the HBC, and Jim B being the "assistant", it's so hard for me to believe that Clint doesn't care about athletics, ESPECIALLY yellow jacket football. That dude was beyond passionate. Now, that's been a few years ago lol, but still. Yes I've heard talent is down blah blah, but that doesn't excuse some of the issues going on. By no means do I still have my finger on the pulse of the program or community, so I'd love to hear some honest takes from some of the old heads that are still around. Just hurts my soul seeing/hearing what I'm seeing/hearing Go Jackets!
  3. Pride! Jacket pride is what I saw tonight. Those young men refused to be the team to break the playoff streak. Yes, it's not championship caliber football, but sometimes you have to reset your goals. I'm as proud of the fight those Jackets showed tonight as I've been for any state champ team. And btw...was a pretty dang good coaching job!
  4. Finish strong Jackets! GATA
  5. This entire thread is pathetic...just garbage. This guy heard that...that guy heard this. Worse than a bunch of old gossiping women at a Sunday afternoon church picnic Returning to topic, I think the Jackets hang tough for a bit, but ultimately H2O wins this one handily. Hope I'm wrong but don't see it happening And kudos to those Jackets that stuck it out this season! It's easy to fold...it'll pay dividends in football and life for sticking through the lean times. Good luck tomorrow. GATA!
  6. Goodness I love the hate. Kick us while we're down...don't blame any of you. I'd be tired of having my behind handed to me for the past 30 years. Just remember...we'll be back
  7. Interesting tidbit of the day. For the past five consecutive seasons, since 2017, the visiting team has claimed the W in this series. Can TC break that trend tonight? Time's drawing near! Gitty Up Jackets! GATA!!!
  8. Just when I thought I was done posting on the T, God gave me this thread! LMAO. Gotta love an old rivalry. Thank you...you've made this old man's weekend
  9. What. A. GAME!! Congrats Hampton Bulldogs. Those boys have tremendous heart! Now go get that gold ball. Tremendous season TC. So very proud to be a Yellow Jacket for life. Keep those heads high boys.....great effort
  10. Dang hate to hear that for the young man
  11. That was HUGE! Possibly game changing huge
  12. That's good stuff my friend and what it's all about. Coach Lambert...what can you say. Always respected him cause in my book he always did things the right way
  13. This one will be a dandy. McKenzie was my early season dark horse pick, and I'm gonna stick with them. Wish I could see this one in person.
  14. Can't agree with the first part of your statement lol, but couldn't agree more with the second part. I'm just a pure fan of high school ball in general, but especially small town football(probably biased though). To me, high school ball is the purest form of the sport. Small town ball is special....I don't think some realize what it takes to have that many players playing all facets of the game..every play. The mental focus, conditioning and toughness required is something special for sure. There's just something EXTRA special about it
  15. I must say.......this was a satisfying post
  16. I would've figured you to be speechless after tonight . I spect you need to do more gene seeding in Watertown
  17. Good deal! And good luck on your journey. Now, let's finish this thing off. Reckon another gold ball would be a heckuva sendoff
  18. Absolutely! Think about it....these seniors have played each other 8 times over the past 4 years...in pressure packed games with meaningful consequences. Split 50/50. Respect is gained all around for good reason I will say, if we'd lost I definitely was pulling for coach Webster with all he's been through personally. Gotta be difficult dealing with the hand he's been dealt. Just my perspective
  19. Nothing but respect for you Hamptonites. No flag football up that way. Good ol football from my recollection
