  1. Mavs, I don't post a lot, but I have always loved reading your banter! I want you know, I will the church I pastor to pray for you and your wife. I can assure you, too, that Noonesfool is a great man. Met him many years ago in Chattanooga when his daughtered hosted a lunch during the TSSAA wrestling championships, and my best friend Bill Brimer asked if I could tag along.
  2. I was in them for Jefferson City and Jefferson County, I think Andy Chrisman may have been one of the hardest running backs to tackle I ever played against.
  3. WBIR says rain starting around 7 with heaviest overnight. Hope the field holds up. My senior year, the 1st year of Jefferson County, we played Knox Carter at their field. It had rained all day and there was about 1/2-1" standing water on most of the field. I was starting left defensive tackle and it was miserable to play in that. Unfortunately the Patriots lost, my last game, kinda stunk.
  4. I agreed with what the announcers were saying that the Mavs had been believing all the publicity and we not really prepared for Betsy.
  5. Swipes, my best friend, before he passed, was involved with Greene Devils sports. If you were mid 2000's, did you play with his son Joel Brimer. He is a great guy, his Dad and I played football together at Jeff County.
  6. She doesn't work hard, that ole Lazy Susan. LOL
  7. Go Betsy! I am a Greeneville fan from Middle TN, so when I cannot cheer for them I pull for East TN teams. If anyone is looking for good eats in Chattanooga, City Cafe Diner has 2 locations, one is about 6 blocks from Finley. Bea's Restaurant is a little drive from the stadium, good country cooking served family style. They bring food out and put it on a lazy susan, then you go to town. Everything I have had at both places is good.
  8. Go Dogs! I really enjoyed watching you guys on Facebook last week. I grew up in Jefferson County, 1st class to graduate from Jefferson Co. HS. I love East TN football. I wanted to recommend a couple of good places to eat if anybody is interested. City Cafe Diner has everything you could want and maybe a little more. 2 locations, 1 is about 6 blocks from Finley Stadium. And, Bea's Restaurant, great food family style. They bring the food from the kitchen and put it on a lazy susan in the middle of the table. A little drive from Finley but the food is very good.
  9. I think that it is very impressive 2 small schools (Cloudland and Hampton) less than 15 miles apart are both playing in the semis. 3 of the 12 Division 1 games Friday are in Carter Co. Good job! I have been following TC since I moved to Nashville in the 90's, ain't nothing like TN high school football. Congrats to both teams!
  10. Not gonna get political or religious, but both of those are showing us what is coming!
  11. A lot of people are going to be surprised with the final outcome. I am 63, so maybe I will be gone before it happens.
  12. Pujo, I don't have tea leaves, but I watch the signs of the times. Cryptocurrency is wanting to be global currency leaning toward a global economy. 2030 Great Reset is aimed at one world governing body. Article posted below was a good read for me, WARNING... it is from a very right leaning news source. And while I am on here GO GREENE DEVILS! https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2021/11/huge-exclusive-archbishop-carlo-maria-vigano-calls-people-faith-unite-worldwide-anti-globalist-alliance-free-humanity-totalitarian-regime-video/
  13. I know it is a chain, but I had some of the best fried green tomatoes at Fatz in Greeneville.
  14. No, that is backwards. Todd is the younger who played linebacker with the Rams when they beat the Titans in the Superbowl. '87 would have been Todd I am pretty sure, he won AAA Mr. Football in 1987.
