  1. Franklin is settled, so where do things stand in Bruin Country?
  2. Thats very interesting that they turned him down in 06, he goes and has a 58% win percentage(check my math, 34 - 24, 34/58 = 58% right?) in TX in the interim, and now he's their man. It certainly does seem to be a new era for BA. Guess they gave up on catching up to Ensworth. Good luck to you Coach White.
  3. When your rebuttal is only to call someone a name, you prove that I am correct and further my point. Thank you.

  5. What in the world does this have to do with inner city problems? I think you need to heed your own advice. Every time you talk, coaches cringe more and more. " Prior to this "involvement" Brentwood wa 2-18 in 1995 and 1996....since then they have several regional championships, a state championship, and has been to the playoffs every year." You really are taking credit for BHS success because of parental involvement? Way to save the program. Doesnt sound like you need a coach at it...you need a PTO president in charge of football. Great coaches are really going to jump at this job! And dont get me wrong, you will get a good coach, but you wont get a great one.
  6. So the parents of Brentwood are not too involved...uhhh...right... If I'm a prospective coach and i read this, I don't even consider this job.
  7. Fact: you just proved correct everything I said about Brentwood parents Fact: Brentwood parents think that putting the word Fact in front of something makes it so Fact: Brentwood will get a lot of applicants, but it is not the great job Brentwood parents think it is Fact: There is no pre Carlton Flatt era for BA Fact: Brentwood high school has never beaten BA Fact: you are too close to the situation and too blinded by loyality to see the problems Opinion: homers, including you, should probably shut up when someone with an outside and probably clearer perspective shares it and gives you an opportunity to learn something about your own school. Fact: you will respond in a negative, condescending, entitled, homer centered manner and you will prove this final Fact correct for me.
  8. From both reading between the lines of what Crawford has said, as well as knowing a thing or two about Williamson county, I would not call Brentwood a premier job either. He made it very clear that the issue is more of Williamson county. What that translates to is lower coach's pay, more class demands, no athletic period for football players. At to that the griping and complaining of a lot of entitled thinking parents and a dwindling supply of athletes because of the privates close by, this job is not so great either. Someone said Brentwood is going to have 50 or more seniors next year. That is a nightmare scenario if not handled perfectly. Who wants pushy, entitled parents griping and complaining because their 18 year old is standing on the sideline the entire game when they think he is the best on the field? At Brentwood, you will have about 40 sets of those parents. And having gone to a couple of Brentwood games, the fan support is pretty weak. They dont have big crowds at all. From what I could tell of how many left at half time in a good close game, there were more there to watch the band than the football game. Brentwood is not the easy/ cushy/ great job a lot of people think it is. Good program, but not a great job. The next coach wont last more than 2 seasons. You don't want to be the man to replace the "man." The replacement never does well when the outgoing coach has done so well and is so well thought of. Real coaches with wisdon and experience will want to be the guy that replaces Crawford's replacement. And most of those will not want to put up with the Williamson County bull. Has everyone forgotten how badly the hire for Ravenwood went last year? And they are a very similar school to Brentwood. Yikes.
  9. Franklin High School = no instituitional control, in the building, in the student section, on the field. Franklin is very good at denying and hiding their problems, but not solving them. Poetic justice is that they are playing a team in the playoffs that is much tougher and if the dirty play starts, Smyrna will eat Franklins lunch with it.
  10. Franklin has the worst behaved students I have seen in a long time. Independence runs a very close second. I haven't seen anything but positive and appropriate behavior from Centennial in the games I have seen. I admit, its only a couple CHS games. Franklin students are foul mouthed, so are the Indy kids, but at least the Independence kids know when to cheer. Cant say as much for the Franklin kids. Good luck to both teams tonight.
  11. So is the consensus that there is no way Ravenwood can win this one, assuming everyone gets out of the locker room and off the bus in time for the game?
  12. No thread for this, so I'll start one. Thoughts? Predications? Keys? Should be an easy Indy win, right?
  13. Very quiet in here...no smack talk going on?
