  1. last time we lost to Bearden in '93 (which was also at home) we didn't even make the playoffs.
  2. Wtf cares how old you are or aren't, it's about recognizing who came before you. I'm fortunate enough to be a 2nd generation RFL and grew up knowing when "the dynasty" started in the 70's. And as far as I can tell, you're the one getting caught up in all things Rebel football more than most.
  3. Funny you say "we", but the dynasty started way before 2008 buddy. Just because you hopped on the bandwagon in '08 doesn't mean it started then.
  4. Predictability and failure to make adjustments. When the fans in the stands know the game plan every game, you know there's an opposing coach (or two) that knows how to beat it.
  5. SEWrestle.com, but you'll have to fork over the $$$ to have access to their rankings.
  6. Here are some of the girls participating and their SEWrestle Big Board rankings per graduating class; Class of 2024 Sha'niayha Wysinger (P4P #20) Jenna Baines (P4P #32) Shyanne Michalski (P4P #36) Vivian Mariscal (P4P #41) Melanie Val (P4P #44) Class of 2025 Aliya Whaley (P4P #9) Jes'Onia Barefield (P4P #34) Grace Von Loh (P4P #41) Halai Cox (P4P #46) Class of 2026 Irelynn Laurin (P4P #2) Senna Grassman (P4P #11) Trinity Roberts (P4P #22) Mariana Bowen (P4P #33) Nataleigh Shane (P4P #34) Gabriella Newton (P4P #35) Class of 2027 Lexi Dean (P4P #8) Ava Johnson (P4P #20)

    Transfers

Talent acquisition and retention are one in the same. If someone isn't happy where they're at, why should they be punished for wanting to leave?

    Transfers

MidwestXFER is correct, but I am also in favor of letting kids transfer if they want. I'm surprised in this day and age that rule is still around given that nowhere else in modern society has restrictions that limit a person's ability to go where they want.
  9. See Strong and Barney's comments above. Maybe your friend's kids played HS there, but from what you say it doesn't sound like they played for either of the feeder club. Both programs have great sets of coaches (at all 3 levels) who've been doing it a long time. Similar to what Barney said, the secret is both clubs get to suit up a bunch of kids that earn quality PT.
  10. It's fake news, whoever told you that has no clue what they're talking about.
  11. Picked Maryville to "win"?? I didn't, you can ask my Bradley people and I picked BC by 21. Competing with Oakland though, you need to crawl before you can walk and no amount first time wins is going to help you all out in that one....
  12. Maryville does not run the same system in the feeder programs. More myths...
  13. Not sure if you're a real Rebel fan or a mark.... Hard to tell with the gibberish being put out there but I'll give it a shot. Not seeing why you think Bradley got the #2 recruit in the country. They got some good ones, but not the #2 kid in the country. As far as Cleveland wrestling goes they've always been good, but never world champs. Maybe you mean one world champ??
  14. Maybe I was being harsh, but it's pretty hard to be butthurt over things that aren't true.
  15. I would imagine it's not uncommon for other youth teams to have good coaches who teach the fundamentals. There are plenty of good coaches out there and it's hard for me to believe that Maryville has a monopoly on all of them. To me, our success at Maryville has been based around having 2 really good feeder programs. Having both allows double the amount of kids getting quality playing time which is invaluable. Both programs have their share of good coaches at each level, but the ability to get so many kids on the field in meaningful games really helps their development before they hit the Junior High and play for one program (MJHS).
