  1. Agree and it makes for some good bulletin board material. And speed kills!
  2. blazer, Alcoa and Maryville will reload! Question will be how many bullets will they have, and please understand I'm not cutting either program. But this year's version of both were not up to year's past teams. I guess I'm saying, how strong are the reloads going to be? Look forward to next year's versions!
  3. I'm inclined to agree with this score. Page looks good and has made a very strong run in the playoffs with the teams they have beaten. But West's ground game may be too much, Latham is the real deal!
  4. Agree, and I think West wins the battle in both trenches.
  5. I was thinking the same thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. Wow, just finished watching it on NHSF, what a game! Sad either team had to drop that one, both teams battled down to the wire.
  7. ....and their little league baseball programs aren't bad! Lol
  8. Blazer, they have plenty of seating on the visitor's side.
  9. ILB, their that good! My son coached at Central with Rosser and part of the back to back championships. This West team is better than the team Central beat in the semi's and to be honest, may be better than the Central teams. More athletes, quicker! Latham (RB) is the real deal, defense is very quick to the ball. Boone will struggle to move the ball!
  10. Good luck to both teams, I'll give Nolensville the edge being their at home.
  11. I'll agree with eers, should be by a couple of scores.
  12. Really liked Coach Stephens! Kids (including my son) loved playing for him.
  13. You obviously not kept up with team from all parts of the state. I would agree with game of the week. But this is far away from the game of the year or state championship game. I've followed these two all year, they are good, best in the west! But they are in for a rude awakening with what West has put together.
  14. That was my point, team that is able to run the ball successfully may have the advantage. Both teams have had success lately. Who's defense steps up?
  15. Boone's defense doesn't come close to the athleticism and physicality West has. No comparison! Boone may struggle to get across midfield against the West starters.
  16. I think weather is going to play a bigger role in this than folks would like. Highs in the low 40's Friday, 30's at game time. Gonna make it hard to grip, throw and catch the ball. Anyone who played the game and had the pleasure of standing on a sideline in 30 degree weather waiting for your turn to go in knows how hard it is to stay warm. Team that can run it the best should have the advantage.
  17. Yep, that's what I thought! We have the same (old as dirt) birthday. lol
  18. Blazer, don't stay home! There's nothing better than high school football on Friday night, and the Laverne and Shirley reruns thing may have told me we are close to the same age.
  19. Problem with this comparison is that West put the running clock on at half time. Game was over! ILB, you'll see the difference in ability come Friday night. Won't be a contest! West is on a mission!
  20. My thoughts exactly!!!! Rebel, don't get me wrong but Maryville has done their own version of Jekyll and Hyde. Pulling for them but SH has some momentum going after that win. No telling how this will go.
  21. Noones, Costco has a good deal on a case of movie style buttered popcorn. Sounds like you might need some. lol
  22. Not so sure Maryville gets by Science Hill this easy. Just ask Farragut!
  23. Yep! I had Boone getting here, but I'll have to jump off the train at this point. This West team is the real deal!
  24. Willie, can't see revenge here! Powell is clicking now. Would love to see OR make it a good game. Hope I'm wrong!
  25. Agree, and even with Powell, West will have to beat themselves.
