I just read your response and your correction. Yes we went to the semifinals in 2007 I think and went to the Clinic Bowl in 1991.

We just came off one of our best seasons ever and Gaddis left us a great team that should make a deep playoff run again. Why are we so quiet here?

I agree with goldentide and sweetscience. It doesn't matter who is better. Woods will have an easier job than Gaddis had because the state of the program is totally different. I hear Panola had great talent that Woods obviously handled well. ROLL TIDE!

Are you saying that he's been named the coach? If true, then it's another homerun hire. He will pick up where Gaddis left off and the future looks incredible!

You know how rumors go, so I could be wrong, but the rumor is that Tab Vowell was offered the job but turned it down.

The article in our paper quoted him as saying that he just wanted to go back "home" and that many former players and fans from Oak Ridge had been in contact with him. I choose to believe him. He said he loved it here and most of us could tell that. He may have gotten a substantial raise because we don't pay all that well and Oak Ridge likely does. Either way, he turned our program around and y'all got a good one, as I'm sure you know. With the right hire, we will be fine and I know Oak Ridge will be.

I've stayed quiet for a while because this really bothered me. I loved last season and I'm not sure what will happen next. After reading the paper I understand why he left and I hope we can get somebody like him who will stay a while. The same administration who hired Gaddis will make this next hire, so let's just assume and hope that this hire is another home run.

Our QB returns next year along with several others but we lost some of our best players. I was impressed with your team and we have a long way to go to get our program to the level that yours is. I guess we'll find out how much progress we've made early in the season.
