  1. I agree with you @City223. Thanks for picking up the slack for the Tigers this year on this forum.
  2. Now that I've had a few days to get over the shell shock, or the hangover, or both from last Friday's Pimp Slapping we took from Smith Co., I want to state the obvious and say that SC completely and totally earned their win. Not only deserved, but did what they had to do to ensure moving on to the next round. All three phases of their game were on point, and Fayetteville's were not. If I knew how to post the picture of the Marine with the Thousand Yard Stare, that would be the best description of the feelings most of us fans had in the first half. Halfway through the second quarter, I had an out-of-body experience where I teleported/time-traveled back to November 22, 2013. Basically the same end result from that night to this last Friday. @Southtowner, you were there. We will regroup. We will put in the work. We will continue to improve. The coach and assistants will work on what we need to do to get better. It's not "back to the drawing board", it's "Here we come again".
  3. In my best Tom Hanks' Coach Jimmy Dugan voice, "We're gonna win. . . WE'RE GONNA WIN!"
  4. Look @Southtowner, if ANY refs are here on the T, and they have been informed that they'll be assigned to our game Friday night, I'll let it be known as of right now that they can get ALL the Smoked Bologna they could ever want. I know how to grease the skids! I'll even throw in some hot sauce, free of charge!
  5. Okay. We score 22 more, keep Forrest from any, and you can call me NotreDameus.
  6. I was thinking Fayetteville 35 Forrest 7 (or 14) .
  7. You bring the magic Mojo and we'll have the bologna. BYOHS.
  8. Smoked Bologna tonight. Any Cascadians coming down need to try it. Not sure they have this kind of good food up in Bell Buckle. Might want to grab a few extra for that long, sad drive North after the game.
  9. Speaking for myself and the Fayetteville Tiger family, sending my prayers for strength and peace through Him.
  10. Yeah I was hoping for something more local and closer to the high school. Won't have that much extra time to go to cookeville, eat, and get to the stadium. Thanks for the suggestions! The pub sounds like a winner for some other time.
  11. Anywhere decent to eat in Baxter or thereabouts? Or should we stop on the way? Or does the concession stand have anything better than popcorn and Skittles? Tigers gotta eat!
  12. FC 6 T 0 FC 6 T 7 FC 6 T14 FC 13 T 14 FC 13 T 17 Final. That was the scoring sequence as I remember it. Tullahoma's kicker was a game changer tho'. Good form, good follow through, great leg. But, good opportunity to get some young Tigers on the field.
  13. Congratulations McKenzie Rebels. Bring the Gold Ball back to the West.
  14. www.985theelk.com is the Fayetteville broadcast.
  15. Hog, SF had a lot of heart, and the tens of fans that made the trip made some noise for their boys. But, SF could've played until the kickoff of the UT/GA game and still couldn't have caught up.
  16. Actually HogH, Fayetteville already has a pretty decent futbol team, and we play in the Spring.
  17. The only way you'll see them in Chattanooga will be in the stands, watching the game. Surviving the West bracket is championship enough.
  18. A lot of grit and fire, but a young team still working.
  19. Lol. Cornersville has told Fayetteville in no uncertain terms, THEY WILL NOT PLAY!
  20. Only transfer on the Tiger squad this year is from Lincoln Co., and he's waiting out his time.
  21. I think the moon's made out of cheese but that doesn't make it so. Huntland will come to play but doesn't have any threats this year.
  22. Mmmmmm. Doing okay so far. Not anywhere ready for a trip to Chattanooga.
