  1.

They wont have to worry about storming the field, or security. The students of HVA willprobably be gone by halftime when it's 35-0 Powell. And Erik Ainge type QB, huh? LOL You coulda at least bragged on the kid by naming someone who was decent.

Haha Ainge was great. And I really don't know or care who is gonna win but it's gonna be rowdy. I'm expecting 10,000 fans and a dad Jim good game. Thank you very much @sweetscience haha.

  2. Well holy flipping crap. I didn't see this one coming. Well darn, I guess I need to transfer my son before all heck breaks loose over there. Smh. Of course this is all IMO. Btw there were better options within own coaching staff but... Go Bobcats get MGK!

  3. I don't know if any of you guys have got a glimpse of the future Cu Young winner, Tommy Weyler. First off he should have been pitcher of the year in his district but I mean he is like a wild puma out there on the mound. He comes after batters and runs the game with authority like Oboma. One of the parents from Karns said, "Tommy looks a lot like he is in middle school but he is truly amazing and he really does deserve to be all state. Should have come to Karns!"

  4. I dont know, knoxcobeat1 did minor in sports phycology so he could know what he is talking about. However, I like painter and think he could be a very sucessful D2 and possibly D1 pitcher. Congrats to him on pitcher of the year.

Ya I had offers from ESPN and Sports Illustrated to be a sports writer and analyst but when my girl friend got pregnant I had to settle here in east Tennessee working for the News Sentinel. I'm graduated Memphis in 1994 cum laude

  5. So who do you guys have winning these up coming games? I think the Halls Farragut game is a lot like the super bowl a couple years ago win the Patriots were undeafeated and lost to the Giants (by the way I was super drunk at the time and that's when I went to jail). I think Halls pulls the upset in this one!

  6. Summer ball reminds me of NFL and college football weekends because its two days a week and the adrenaline is just incredible. School ball reminds me of Vietnam, going at it everyday grinding day in and day out. If you lose a man you just have to replace him. It's a fight to the death. And AMERICA always win! Ya USA! USA! USA!

  7. What are some opinions on coach of the year? I personaly believe that Kirk Renegar is one of the best coaches Ive seen in about 25 years. The way he has his players disciplined and has them all come together like a school of fish is incredible. He has great strategy and always seems to overcome anything that goes wrong. Taking this program to becoming one of the beat teams in Knoxville is no coincidence.

If I was going into war id like Renegar leading my army. At least he would never let them surrender or quit. But the halls coach deserved it especially after he manipulated the tournament and still lost! (Sarcasm);)

  8. As a Central fan i can look at this tournament from an unbias perspective and this is what I have concluded.

Powell had a chance to do something great, but didnt reach the full potential of what they could be.

Halls had a team with a couple great players but didnt have the depth in the pitching rotation to win the tournament

HVA (repeating champs) had an all around good team with great pitching, and a well disciplined program. Kirk Renegar has this team looking like soldiers in the military. Its like they do everything right. This team has alot of freshmen and will only get better

Oak Ridge really reached their full potential, but untill they get a solid number 2 guy behind Lane, I dont see them going far. They have alot of upcoming seniors, so they are a definate contender for next year.

Clinton made it farther than everyone expected, I really like the program and what the players bring to the table.

Campbell County is very well coached. If they get some talent i could see this program as a threat in the future.

Anderson County did about what everyone expected. They had a bad draw in the tournament having to face Powell and Halls. Hard to tell what they will look like in the future.

What about the beavers at Karns? Any chance they will ever be good again in your opinion.

  9. After and awesome win by HVA tonight (congrats!) I asked a parent from Halls about freshman phenom Will Nelly. He said,"That boy is God sent to coach Renegar, a sign from above. He looked like the Verlander of high school throwing it in there at 92 and 93. But Da*m it, it pisses me off. Good luck to them. And go Halls"

  10. I like Powell for 2 reasons 1. They play like they are the $h!t and 2. They are freaking raw. I love it. They are gonna win it all 2013 campaign has begun

After minoring in sports psychology at the University of Memphis (not to mention I majored in journalism) you are clearly in denial. If they were going to win it all it would have been this year. Unless you try some vodoo rituals Powell doesn't have a chance next year. Sorry</3

  11. I'm an "old guy", too, and I like the stuff I grew up with. What we grew up with, however, isn't what many of the youngsters today listen to. You may not like it, but those kids got to choose there own walkout songs. They are going to choose what they like.

You ever been to a college or major league game and hear what the players pick or their walk out songs?

I like the ways Clinton does their walk up music. That's where I want my kids going. First class all the way and pretty well coached not to mention my kids aren't the greatest players either so they have a chance to conpete for a playing spot unlike if they went to HVA, Halls, Farragut, etc. Yet this team still competes

And I've heard their music but they are grown men. These are still boys at this level. Who wants their child's walk up song to be about strippers, drugs, prostitutes, and sex. We need more Jesus. That's the answer.
