  1. I agree. It’s never enforced. I do think the refs at York tried to stop the East fans from using it last week.
  2. No doubt. I know Tremaine played against some beasts, like John Henderson at Pearl for example
  3. Isiah Groves may or may not be the best running back in the state, but in my opinion he’s the best RB Robertson County has seen in around 25 years. He’s the best since Springfield’s Tremaine Turner that went to Ole Miss.
  4. East’ coach needs to learn that a punt isn’t always a bad thing
  5. Between the York penalties and all the ER athletes, this game may as well be over at halftime. I don’t think York can score 14 more points or stop East from scoring again.
  6. I think that fumble in the first Smith County game provided a little extra motivation for him for the rematch, thus over 220 yards total offense in the first quarter.
  7. Good thing is we only had to go up the big hillside once. We parked up the street past the visitor stands so we walked out the gate by the visitor concession stands and right up to our truck. East is fun to watch though. They have the potential and talent to win it all
  8. First quarter East could win the state. The second and third quarter East needs to clean things up
  9. This Springfield guy came to Carthage expecting to see a good game. Looks like only one team showed up. Groves had around 233 yards total offense in the first quarter. A friend of mine in the stands said that in their first meeting earlier in the year that all the TV timeouts helped the Smith County guys stay rested. No tv timeouts tonight and East is putting on a butt kicking.
  10. If the Beech team that played Henry County to the wire shows up, they have a real good chance of winning this game; if the team that played Springfield shows up, Southwind will win easily. The SW quarterback’s running ability impressed me more than his passing. He has a knack for making people miss.
  11. I think Springfield has a shot, but I think the Jackets need to score at least 24 points if not 28 to have a chance. The Southwind QB is a weapon that concerns me. I feel like if the game is tight going to the 4th qtr, Southwind might know how to react and lose composure like Munford did last year.
  12. I only implied that I hope they are better than the ones at Munford last year. I know they come from different areas but the guys last year were bad. Watch the video on Social Dweebs YouTube page. It’s still on there from last year.
  13. I just hope there’s a better officiating crew for this game than we had last year at Munford.
  14. I feel Springfield has a legit shot to win this game. Playing the schedule the Jackets have played has prepared them for the playoffs, 4-6 record or not. I don’t think Southwind has played a schedule as tough as Springfield has. Munford thought they would walk all over Springfield last year being 11-0, but they came out of that game 11-1. Every Springfield fan on here will agree that this year’s team isn’t nearly as good as last year’s team. Losing 16 starters kinda leads to that. This team is tough as nails, though, and gave Beech and 6A Gallatin all they wanted these last two weeks. When the game is tight I don’t think Springfield will flinch, but what will Southwind do? They really haven’t been tested this year. Let’s line up and see what happens this Friday night.
  15. Beech will probably make it to round 3, then lose to Henry County in Paris.
  16. Central came to Springfield a couple of years ago with a real good running back. We got on them pretty good, held down their running back, and then the lights went out early in the 4th quarter due to a transformer blowing. Once we got going again, they basically decided to almost start a fight since the game was out of hand. It got pretty choppy at the end. I know that doesn’t help much for this year , though.
  17. Munford has a nice facility for football. We broke their hearts last year down there.
  18. The Jackets make the 3.5 hour drive to Southwind next Friday for round 1 of the playoffs. Traveling down I-40 is nothing new for Springfield. Southwind should ask Munford what to expect before chalking up a W in their own minds. Southwind will be a tough opponent no doubt, having outscored their opposition 363-60 through 9 games. Never count a Dustin Wilson team out come playoff time. Looking forward to a good game.
  19. Flat was better than horrible or not interested, I guess . I’m sure Coach Crabtree “discussed” it with his young team at halftime. I’d like a rematch in round 2, it would be a lot shorter drive than Memphis for sure.
  20. Beech doing Beech things now. They came out as flat as I’ve ever seen a Bud team in a long time; similar to how Springfield came out against Hunters Lane. The bad snap right before half was a killer
