The 2015 Cookeville "Middle School Tournament" put on by the Cookeville Cavaliers will be held March 27th & 28th at Jere Whitson Park in Cookeville, TN. There will be a 16 team maximum with a 4 game minimum. The entry fee will be $200 per team. There will be a hospitality tent for the coaches and umpires. The 2015 Cookeville High School "Duff" Tournament will be held April 17th & 18th at Cane Creek Park in Cookeville, TN. Registration fee is $225. There will be a hospitality tent for coaches and umpires, awards for the top 2 teams, and we are hoping to have a skills competition and homerun derby again this year on the Friday evening. There will be a 4 game minimum and teams will need to provide a game ball for each game that they play in. The tournament rules and tournament format will remain the same as in the past. The intent here is to increase the field of the tournament, which is currently low. If more teams sign up, the competition will be better and therefore the entire tournament will be better. It will not be a problem to issue a partial refund to the teams who are already signed up, if a few more teams are added. I hope everyone would want more teams involved and a bigger tournament. We are just trying to make this as good as we can for all the teams and all the players. Thank-you for your suggestion.
