  1. Congrats Peabody on another remarkable season. Took a hiatus from the T half way through the season to focus on some health & family so I’ve missed a lot of the banter throughout the rest of the regular season & post season but I did continue to watch every game Friday night.. Congrats to Meigs on another successful season as well. The Tigers wouldn’t go away quietly yesterday & I respect that fight.
  2. This dude is obviously a troll. I wouldn’t even pay any attention to this
  3. The officiating was certainly subpar at best. But what can you do? High School officials are few & far between so I’m grateful for these guys that work full time jobs & then officiate these games on the side just so these kids can play some ball. It’s really just pick your poison... would you rather play a game with average officiating (sometimes below average) or not play at all because there isn’t anyone that wants to officiate? That being said, McKenzie has a good football team. I don’t think anybody was questioning that. Peabody again shows what championship programs are all about. Even when they don’t have their best stuff & things don’t always go there way, they grit & grind out victories. No matter the circumstance.
  4. This should be a good match up. This game will give me something to look forward to & get me through next week.
  5. COVID-19 all joking aside McKenzie is probably the best bet
  6. Peabody should roll in this one. I don’t see McNairy being as good as Milan & the Tide was able to handle Milan pretty proficiently.
  7. I wish I could tell you but I haven’t watched anything on McKenzie. I know they’re supposed to be a solid team but that’s about as far as my knowledge goes.
  8. Small town football. The ebbs & flows of talented kids comes in waves. There will be a time in the future when Milan will be up & Peabody will be down. It’s the cycle but hopefully this current cycle lasts for a while longer. Milan has a really good football team. No question about it. Peabody has a championship football team & they were a prime example of it. Down 13-0 before they even got off the bus but didn’t waiver once in fear. They took it one drive at a time & put up 34 unanswered points. Milan punched Peabody in the mouth right out of the gate & the Tide responded. Can’t say Milan responded once Peabody returned the favor. That’s the stuff that championship teams do. Peabody was on the losing end of those games for a few years before they got to where they are now. Milan will be the same way. Best of luck to the dawgs the rest of the way.
  9. After the 1st quarter of regaining their sea legs, the Tide picked up right where they left off. Promising start to another promising season.
  10. Respect. Bulldogs have the weapons. They’re going to learn how to win. You guys are where Peabody was in 2012.
  11. Peabody defining what a championship program is. Not team. PROGRAM
  12. Milan needs to score ASAP. They need a morale booster
  13. I wouldn’t get carried away now. You’re talking about the previous Mr. Football for class 2A. Driggers is showing great potential of what’s to come though. He has the ability for sure.
  14. Probably the dumbest 4th & inches on the goal line play call of all time
  15. I was gonna say y’all just trying to kill the little momentum Peabody had lol
  16. Which just confirms that Peabody won’t match Milan’s speed. I’m not putting all my marbles in one basket though. It’s still early
  17. The defense does look really good. Peabody offense looks big & slow
  18. Peabody can’t match Milan’s speed. The talent drop off from last years Peabody team is too far gone.
  19. Can't wait to watch the livestream tomorrow night. It is hard for me to give an edge to either team due to the newness that is taking the field tomorrow. Peabody is trying to replace the best football team that they have ever had with a lot of younger kids with only a little bit of experience. A lot of the kids playing for Peabody now did play a lot the past 2 seasons but not during the grit and grind games that require the mental toughness to push through and make a play late in the game. Milan will be a great test to see how a young Peabody team picks up from where they last left off. On the other hand, Milan is ready to show off a new stadium headed up by a young vibrant head coach. This is the first Milan and Peabody game in quite some time that I can't clearly pick a winner. Win, lose, or draw, I'm just happy to have some high school football be played given how this year has been.
  20. No need for me to make my points. @Salem your posts are spot on with my thoughts. Well done. Bottom line is kids should be in school & sports should be played. Period.
  21. 2013 UC won 28-7. Pretty sure it was like 14-7 with 7-6 minutes left in the 4th quarter during that game. 2014 UC beat Peabody 42-16
  22. Good point. Also helps when great groups of kids come through. Peabody has fielded great teams consistently over the past decade. Not necessarily the case from 2000-2009. Peabody did have a semifinal run in 2007 or 2008 I can’t remember which year exactly, but for most of the 2000s, they were mediocre for the most part. Average teams with average athletes & average coaching. I think Meigs is a good example of the kids too. Look at the records from this year’s graduating class from the time they were freshman... So the kids definitely play a good role along with the coaching as whether or not they’re going to be a good team. It does take two to tango.
