  1. These numbers also include 8th grade right? I was pretty sure her and the seniors last year got early starts.
  2. I see Moore County lost and NC gave Summertown all they wanted for a good minute
  3. I did find that score interesting, what your saying makes sense. I think a lot of people are disappointed the MC/HC matchup will not occur, but it falls weird ways come tournament time. Good luck to all teams left!
  4. Crazy results for region 5 first rounds! Looking at how close the scores where, each district 2 was pretty even. However, NC is the only d10 team left.
  5. Mc sounds a lot like HC then. Seems like it will be a low scoring game with two great defensive teams. However, they are both good at stealing the ball and scoring too so who knows.
  6. Houston County could take Moore County in the finals if they make it. I honestly believe it would be a great game to watch, but also Houston County would have to show up ready to play. Here are my reasons I think HC could win against MC. 1) Moore County has their post as their top player, while she is good- HC has a 6"+ Freshman post that plays as if she is a senior when it comes to knowing the game. The MC post may get some points underneath, put I expect them to be limited or when the HC Freshman is sitting out. Even from the 3 she will be heavily guarded. 2)HC has 3 point shooters who can hit lights out if its the right day 3)HC has a great defense from all 5 players, MC will have to take a lot of contested shots BUT, like I said that is if HC makes it to the finals and shows up. I mention the HC freshman having basketball knowledge, BUT if MC gets under her skin like NC did.... HC will have problems. It was evident that her anger got the best of her in the district championship and HC suffered a few plays from it. She does not foul much but I believe she got 4 in the champ. and most were near the end. Plus, in all honesty I know that MC players and fans have a way of getting under your skin. I watched the MC & HC regional game last year as a fan and MC got under my skin. However, that is part of the rivalry from the 2 districts. If that game does end up becoming the regional championship, I would love to come watch and see a great fierce game.
  7. Moore County vs White House Heritage Cascade vs McEwen Nashville Christian vs Community Houston County vs Forrest
  8. Its great to know she is all about the team and playing hard all the way instead of herself. Sometimes I think the finalist positions get some players thinking about the wrong thing in a team sport. Good luck to her, Jaycee, and the rest of their teammates!
  9. Im disappointed that Mackenzie Hensley didn't get the single A nomination, but I guess it don't always fall how you expect. Jaycee Coe will probably end up getting this one but I am cheering for Ms. Rhodes as well.
  10. Regular season top 4: 1: Houston County 2: Nashville Christian 3: White House Heritage 4: McEwen
  11. dalton, how do you think that will effect them when they play Nashville Christian? That game will more than likely be the determining game for tournament seatings unless another unexpected upset happens. If WHH somehow pulls out against NC, they will be tied for third with McEwen. NC is playing their best ball right now, however anyone can have an off night. It depends on a lot. I am interested in WHH's new freshman?
  12. the game is for sure at 6 tonight
  13. Single A - Jaycee Coe, Outside of single A I am hit and miss, but Dickson County Freshman LeaLea Carter(sorry if misspelled) is an amazing player. I know she is averaging around 20 +/- pts and pulls down several rebounds. Great ball handler, great vertical, great shooter, and is just all around good to watch.
  14. Yes, McEwen lost to NC by 4 last night. Big game for Andrea McMillan of MC, but fouled out in the 4th. Mc held the lead till right before half. It was back and fourth till the fourth, then NC pulled away. MC narrowed it down but not enough to pull an overtime. The WHH game just simply put....nobody showed up ready to play. As far as I know,, the game for tonight is still at 6, put I will post if McEwen does play early
  15. Another huge upset, McEwen loses to WHH by 24 points......24-48
