Its been posted in another thread that Dickerson has been named head coach . Don't know how true that is though.

this is starting to get ridiculous that its taking this long and nobody knows anything. They have selected a pope in alot less time before SC has named a coach. Hurry up and get it over with dang !!

I hope Rang is the choice . He seems to have a pretty good reume. I think he'll be a good one if he is the one chosen.

MC did not beat SC in 88 with Dirkson or in 89 either SC went 10-0 in the regular season both those years ! Dirkson won Mr. Football the 88 season !

No I'm not one of those people . I watch our team on the field and what we have when our 2nd and 3rd strings come in and the way those play. I hope SC gets the very best coach for the job. But, I also know that we have some big shoe positions to fill the next couple of years.

Maynord left because of the opportunity to coach 6A and be 3 miles from work. I also think he left due to the fact SC will be rebuilding after this year with all the players they will be losing.

I'm not sure if thats the case or not just letting you all know what I know and that came from a straight source. I don't think money is an issue as much as the responsibility and expectation of the job.

Goolsby has not applied for Smith County job. Says he can make as much money and a whole lot less headache at Watertown. He was QB at SC on the '85 semifinal team.

I'm just referring to some of the comments about Satterfield cussing the SC kids during a game one time. Some SC folks make out like they wouldnt have anything to do with Satterfield or anything he's associated with. They act like they wouldnt even consider playing Trousdale because he's there. I would think their best bet would be to offer Satterfield a head coaching spot over in Carthage seeings how they want to win a championship. He has the hardware to prove he knows what he's doing if you ask me. I'd be interested to see how many SC fans that claim to hate Satterfield would change their mind if he asked to be hired on. Besides it would probably be a pay cut if he took it,if he wants back in coaching all he has to do is let Creasey go or fire him Satterfield is the boss you know.
