The Tennessee Sting 12u, 14u, 16u, and 18u "A" teams are having their tryouts this Saturday the 16th at Christian Academy of Knoxville High School (CAK). Tennessee Sting Fastpitch Organization has the following positions open for the summer of 2014….The Sting Organization works hard to develop its players by sponsoring pitching, hitting, catching, and strength and conditioning to its girls. We have strong relationships with area college coaches and were blessed to send 9 girls to college last year alone. Courtland Style’s 18u team – is seeking one absolute “A†ACE type pitcher. They will consider pitchers from any state in the country. This is an “A†team which will be looking to qualify for nationals. It currently has 9 college signees on the team. Coach Styles is a highly skilled coach who has been asked to coach Team USA in Europe this summer. Leonard Sam’s 16u team – is seeking one absolute “A†ACE type pitcher. They also will consider pitchers from other states. This is an “A†team which will be looking to qualify for nationals. It currently has 8 all-district players on the team and 9 girls with college offers. Coach Sam’s is a proven ASA coach, with several nationals, 2 championships, and a Coach of the Year Award to his credit. Charles Matthews’ 16u team – is seeking one pitcher. They are seeking an experienced pitcher who is highly skilled and has been a #1 on a travel team. This will be regional team which will play showcase ball, but less national qualifiers. This would be a good team for a player who wishes to stay close to the Tennessee, Georgia, Kentucky, Virginia corridor, yet still wishes to get seen. We will play in front of a lot of D-2 and lower D-1 schools. Landon Potter’s 14u team – has a few openings for a very strong “A†pitcher and a very strong bat. This team has already qualified for Nationals, but has restructured its roster somewhat and looks to add a few players. Mitch Borden’s 12u team – has exactly one spot remaining for a top notch and experienced outfielder with a good bat.
