Right. There are so many factors why a kid will chose D1. You just can’t say he shouldn’t go D1 because he doesn’t fit the mold or 65 years of history say it won’t matter.

So who are you to say who is D1 material and not. Please list the D1 talent you have recruited. Also please list the kids that went D1 that weren’t D1 material and should have gone D2 or lower. Since “most” shouldn’t have been there.

I will say this I wasn’t there for the situation this last weekend but it has been building up for 4 years. 1. It’s not the first time he has talked about my kid in a negative manner. We have heard about it from other coaches, kids and even from his wrestlers. I have a huge network of people that I keep in touch with, he must not know. 2. I don’t concern myself with people like him so I brush it off and focus on the people that have my son’s best interest at hand. Mom on the other has had enough of it and it finally came out. 3. Landon did snap back at him when he overheard and that issue has been addressed. 4. I will be the first to admit my son is an a**hole on that mat and carries a chip with because of coaches like him. We don’t wrestle for Williamson county championships we wrestle like we are going D1 and that won’t change. But if you actually know my kid you know he’s far from it.

I’m not saying I know what their lineup will be. But when they get to MS and see 5-6 kids around the same weight they may start to look else where so they can hit the HS line up earlier. There are like 20 MS weight classes only 14 weights in HS. Some kids will be left out.

From outside looking in I figured Cleveland wouldn’t keep all those kids. HCWC has so much depth and a lot of kids around the same weight.

From what I understand West don’t travel East and vice versa. If I have to travel 5-6 hours for a tournament I’m driving a couple more hours to a tournament like Tulsa, Indy Nationals, bigger tournaments.
