  1. Tim James returns to East Ridge...interesting.
  2. Looking forward to coming to The Brickyard Friday night. Two once powerful teams struggling but this should make for a good game. Need to finish the season strong.
  3. Fans are behind this team. This group of guys are small in numbers but there is no quit in them. Injuries and turnovers have been hard to deal with, nothing has bounced their way. 4/5 turnovers per game and each points for the other team...it's hard to stay focused. Very similar to East Hamilton last year. Several kids playing positions they never played or dreamed they'd be playing those positions...big learning curve. Numbers are low for many reasons, not just new coach. CPB ran more than a few off. Others don't want the struggles of a down season so they bailed. Parents sending kids to privates hurt Signal, there are kids on every private roster that live on Signal. This is just a bump in the road. Coach Wise has a tremendous work out program that will benefit all athletes at Signal...D1 workouts to prepare for the next level. He just needs to remember not all HS athletes want to be at that level.
  4. That Reynold's man was at the Signal/Tyner game watching to see how to control the Beard's offense. I know the scoreboard didn't show but the Eagles had pretty good success running between the tackles... right at 'em. Watch the Ram's O-line technique and it won't take long to figure out as to what they will be doing...the Eagle's picked it up and blitzed on que, stopping several runs for no gain.
  5. Good news...Eagles are getting healthy just in time. Positive note, O-line play was solid against Tyner. Got to stop the turnovers. Eagles win by 2 touchdowns.
  6. We're all injured...hard to find the words when you're concussed.
  7. Getting back a few starters will help...a couple new injuries won't. Can't give away the points like we did a against ER. I think the Eagles will surprise some people and keep this one close.
  8. A 2-3 score win right now would be great...but I'll take a 2-3 point win too.
  9. Chargers have the $$ in the facilities...build it and they will come seems to be the philosophy. ND will come in mad after the loss to Tyner, I say ND by at least 3 scores.
  10. Eagles get a couple back this week from injury but may be without a couple new ones. They continue to play hard despite several players never coming off the field.
  11. Just for you PA, but I'm sure Troll may let you use his personal facilities there at Hemlock Hills, then again probably not.
  12. Signal scored twice in the 2nd half, one against the Canes #1's and then again late against the #2's. Score was still 14-6 with less than 3 minutes to go in third...mental & physical fatigue took a toll on the Eagles. Hard to play 6 to 7 kids both ways (4 I'm not sure ever came off the field) for four quarters. Not making excuses about the loss, I'm proud of the effort the Eagles gave. Great game plan by CW, we just couldn't stay with the EH's skill players...especially with a defensive backfield that was playing for the first time. Just hope we can get everyone healthy by league play and no one gets hurt against the Owls. CPB did not do Signal any favors with the schedule he left for them.
  13. Haven't read much on Cleveland but I'm sure their skill players, DB's, are better than Signal...so the passing may not be as easy for the Canes. EH will continue to have problems running the ball. I say Cleveland by 14.
  14. If you want to see him run, you'll need to go across the state line.
  15. Yeah...sometimes it's parents that are
