  1. Is the TSSAA aware of this because if so then maybe the coaches are following the rules but if the TSSAA doesn't know then well you know sometimes they are a little to busy for things like that because we know they will only do so much and somebody would have to go to them with visual evidence because they probably won't do an investigation.
  2. Glad to hear Riverdale is doing well knowing they lost a lot but I knew Anastasia Hayes would be a great asset to their program they also have some other great young talent and will become a force again because of great coaching. I heard Blackman won some great games against Mount Juliet and Brentwood Academy to name a few but was told they played without Jazz Bond and Meme Jackson. Has anyone seen Oakland or Smyrna yet I expect them to be great also once again the Boro will be a slugfest to make it out of and get to State. I'm hoping to catch some games at the MTSU camp should be some great preseason games as we all know nothing is won in June it's just preparation.
  3. Most serious basketball players are use to it and expect it so u may want to get a schedule ahead of time and plan around it because Cousin Trev is right, after June you have July which is when the colleges are allowed a certain period of time to come out and see the tournaments and if your kid wants to play at the next level playing in July is a must, I say check your schedules because think about the money you will save if your child picks up some scholarship offers I'd take that deal over a vacation anyday. But like I said it's for serious basketball players because most are use to this type of schedule. And could someone please post June Camp schedules for the High Schools if you have any. Thanks in advance
  4. Great Coach and even greater human being I believe he will build that program to compete with the best of the best look out 9AAA and Congratulations Wilson Central on an excellent hire.
  5. Looks like Anastasia Hayes will be moving to Murfreesboro and enrolling at Riverdale High School, she has been seen at camp and really seems to enjoy it there, I believe she is a talented young lady and will get great coaching from Corey Barrett and Clifford Coleman I know some people may not like it but this is a kid so if you have issues take it up with the parents not the child because they make the decisions but hopefully this will be a great fit and she gets the support she needs I for one look forward to another season of great basketball in Rutherford County because Oakland and Stewarts Creek have transfers also coming from Lancaster. Looking forward to November, lots of Division 1 talent will be on display.
  6. That is pretty much all you can do is speculate at this time and as far as the writers not seeing every team that is not how it works you have to go out and play a national schedule and beat some of the best teams in the country to earn that ranking Science Hill has done the same thing last year which is why they were ranked so high last year and I will not get into a debate about what could have been I am proud of Blackman for earning their first state title and keeping the National Championship in Murfreesboro.
  7. I just read the article written by the Johnson City Press and I must say I find it very assuming for the reporter to say Science Hill would have won the gold ball had they gone to the tournament and not lost their point guard. I find it to be very condescending and disrespectful to the Blackman Lady Blaze who are not only #1 in the state but also in the country by all three prep polls and will likely be National Champions. Those girls have played one of the toughest schedules in the country and earned their championship the hard way as Riverdale has done in the past, you have to give them that respect just as we did for Riverdale I do understand that the article is from their hometown but there should also be some objectivity there also just for credibility. I believe Science Hill was a good team but we don't know how good because they didn't play any of the top in State teams and there are to many to name so it would have been nice to see them in the Turkey Jam or the Naples Florida or even the Riverdale Christmas Tournament because there was alot of tough competition there. Now Blackman did beat them in the summer but we know that doesn't count because teams get better but SH was just not able to match up with them and that was without Crystal Dangerfield so Blackman proved they could when without their pg but SH could not, I believe Mount Juliet, Bradley Central, Ridgeway, or Rossview would have been tough competition for them but I guess it's always great to speculate on what could have been. I hope to see SH in the big tournaments or play some of the top TN teams next year because they still have a good chance of making it to the Glass House next year they will struggle some like Riverdale did this year but Riverdale still took on the tough teams because that's what great competitors do. Just my humble opinion, I wish all the girls good luck in the future because I know they all work very hard and I am a supporter of all TN girls and cannot wait to watch some of them play in college and the high school gyms next season. Also can anyone tell me where Tianna Tarter will play next season, I would love to follow her also.

  9. Congratulations to UC on your Championship and an undefeated season well deserved and Jackson County you girls can hold your head up for playing your hearts out and good luck to Jaycee we will be watching and supporting all of our TN girls at the next level alot of future SEC players. Good Luck
  10. My first time seeing Elizabethton play and I must say I enjoy watching a great defensive team me being from Rutherford County they should be favorite's to win it next year but hopefully Central will be there to give them a run. Congratulations Lady Cyclones well deserved.
  11. Yes they have one senior and CONGRATULATIONS to Blackman on your State Championship and an outstanding season you Earned It.
  12. Rachel Bell has signed with Vanderbuilt so she's not getting out of Tennessee and I will for sure go and watch some Vandy games just to support one of our own I believe she will be great for them they are losing their top two scorers so she will definately be needed, she had an awesome high school career and would be my pick for Miss Basketball.
  13. Why is this question being brought up now I thought this was done for the season being that this was discussed thoroughly at the beginning of the season there are transfers all over the state some we know about some we don't it just depends on how well the school is doing that goes for public and private schools and if kids can transfer following the TSSAA rules there's really nothing that can be done about it and I assure you we will revisit this subject again next season because kids are gonna transfer where they think they can succeed the best and I said before I do understand both sides when it comes to home grown kids having to take a back seat to transfers or kids leaving a school they have grown up at it's been happening for years Shelbyville was probably the most extreme case but now its more widespread across the state I still don't understand the rules of the Memphis schools because the powerhouses there seem to switch alot with top teams ending up on the bottom in a matter of a few years its alot to try and make sense from it all.
  14. Congratulations to Blackman and good job Mount Juliet you girls played a great competitive game that I enjoyed watching. Good luck in the championship Lady Blaze.
  15. Good luck Blackman they do have experience playing teams with alot of size thanks to Incarnate Word and Rockbridge out of Missouri and Mceachern out of Georgia all were top ranked teams nationally and were great preparation for them so let's keep that gold ball in 7AAA.Go Lady Blaze
