our booster club was responsible for concessions and each parent was given an option. work 2 games (baseball) or pay $20 which went to students who wanted to work. worked out really well. some worked some payed and no one could complain because money went back to players anyhow.

i think i have some information that is pretty reliable. they are very close to naming a coach and many will be shocked at what is going to hapen.. i t has been quiet for a reason. from what i have heard they will have a hire by thursday or friday and it sounds like a good one. as far as coach austin is concerned i have a friend who talked with the principal about the possibility of coach austin and he was impressed with coach austin however he has only met with him one time. my friend said that the principal (s. bean) would at some time make a comment on the entire situation to stratghten up all the rumors that have been floating around about this job. should be very interesting. we have heard before that an annoucement was comming. hopefully this time it is true.

What's the rush? several schools are looking for coaches. I only hope they dont try to name someone just to please the people. I have heard that they have some good candidates but none with much experience. On the A level i think that that is what you will get. Not many coaches leave Head Coaching positions to go to a single A program. The Flatt thing will hurt some but i think it will all work out. I have heard some former head coaches might be possible, but personally i think a young coach with enthusiasm would be just what is needed. Are they still planning to build a new facility and will Jack be helpful in that? Their whole athletic facilities are way behind times for most A schools in this area.

I dont think M C has the same juice as Riverdale. totally different athletes. What type players do you need?

All the pop warner teams run it and most of the county think the wing-t is the only offense there is. I think that is why many coaches would not apply to coach in Moore County. Mac does"t even run it any more. I dont think he even did it at Marshall C.

I think there are still others who have a shot at that job. Has it been offered to Swenson.? I agree that you never can judge a young coach by his first job. I dont think hickman co. is exactly a great place to make a good start. After Flatt, who would look good. Can anyone from Hickman let us know more about him?

upset?????????? Moore Co. was by far the better team. Ive seen them play 2 times now and they may be a contender.

yea, i think they are going up there to scrimmage Oakland. thats about it.

cascade11. i played college ball 25 yrs ago and was a head coach in high school. no i havent been around sports very long. how long have you been around sports. i repeat any coach will tell you they can only go as far as their players take them.

comparing mac to the bear and lombardi> are you kidding. ANY coach in the country will tell you that great players DO make great coaches and terrible players make coahes terrible. even the great bear had some pretty good player. namath, sloan, todd, the list goes on and on. give me 3 great players and one good coach. next time you talk to a great coach ask him why he was a winner. ask mac, he would tell you the same thing.

Mac had NOTHING to do with this. The day Moore Co. forgets about him the better. We need to move on. sure he won some games but he hit a strech of talent and out of county kids also. This is a team effort led by the community. Mac would not have been and success if not for the community in the first place.

This is all true. Meeting tonight at MCHS. booster club may be the lead group. Still, the odds are maybe 50% that it can get done> I think it says alot for bean and moorehead that they could even get this far. i would love to hear a statement from Flatt. Does he read CoachT?
