  1. Quarter Final Winners will be: Monday (G) 1 Fairview over 9 Sunbright----Sunbright is talented, but....Fairview is too!! (G) 4 Coalfield over 5 Wartburg---If the real Lady Dawg team shows up.... ( 1 Oneida over 9 Fairview ( 5 Robbins over 4 Wartburg---Will be the best game of the night Tuesday (G) 2 CSCC over 7 Jellico (G) 3 PJ over 6 Oneida---Could be match-up worthy of watching ( 10 Winfield over 2 CSCC--upset city if you call it that ( 3 Huntsville over 6 Oakdale
  2. Kaz, I'll 2nd your motion my friend. I've been "away" from CoachT for a bit, but....I'm back, wishing ALL of the Lady Indians nothing but the very best AND I'm sure they know it as well my friend.
  3. Here in East Tennessee I hear the name "VANDY!!" It just keeps coming up time and again. Doesn't matter where he goes, I'm sure he'll succeed. So here's to a great future--Best of Luck Man: Make Your Breaks!!
  4. I agree---these two teams could be the best 2A teams in the state. Loudon could finish 11-2 with a loss in the QUARTERs and still be 2nd best because Alcoa is just that darned good!!
  5. Hey DOUBLE D, Will you give me TN Temple and 39pts. I figure if Grace is going to go 3-20 as you state with wins over Temple and Brainerd, Temple can't be that good!!
  6. Fulton beat them something like 38-9 in week 8 or so of the regular season--bascially helping Fulton secure a play-off spot. The Falcons have ripped off 8 in a row since starting with close losses to AE & AC and a lopsided loss to Alcoa. Anyone notice a pattern----something about Fulton and teams that have a name starting with "A!!"
  7. I like taking 4 teams from each Region. However, I do wish the state would go back and mix the brackets up like they did in the mid to late 90s. I dislike having region re-matches as early as Round 2 (ex: Alcoa vs. CAK, OS vs. Loudon, AE vs. LA, Fulton vs. Catholic, Powell vs. Maryville, & Ooltewah vs. Farragut).
  8. I'll have to say that Austin-East has the most entertaining band I have watched. The Anderson County - Clinton pregame show where both bands play together, including the Star Spangled Banner could give one cold chills. As for smaller bands, Oneida and their 33 member squad does an excellent job.
  9. Darn It Leonard--you got me by 1 measley game man 32-4 to 31-5!! Maybe next week my friend!!
  10. I hope I didn't come across in an earlier post or two as being anti-Cumberland Gap. Those boys (or men) had a tremendous season led by their excellent coaching staff, including Coach Jesse who has to be happy to be back in his home area. I just happen to follow the Cats a little closer for various, and some very obvious reasons!!
  11. I also want to congratulate Cumberland Gap--both players and coaches--on having a tremondously successful season. Build on this season and best of luck down the road Panthers.
  12. A 6-4 sub-par Oliver Springs team?? Two of the 4 losses came to perhaps the 2 best 2A teams in the state: Alcoa and Loudon--who will only lose two games this season, both to Alcoa. CAK is no slouch and the Cats had Kingston on the ropes till late--a team that beat AE. So....before you call 6-4 subpar, get your ducks in order my friend. They beat teams like Coalfield, Rockwood, and Sweetwater---teams that are usually making some noise this time of year. When GP was scheduled it looked like an interesting match-up with two power football teams, Scott High had Smith and was pretty competitive in their region, especially with Livingston who is still playing in 3A. So...before you bash OS and their 6-4 record, do your homework!!
  13. We will find out what---that Coalfield is the best team in the Region They only turned the ball over a half million times tonight and were still never threatened!!
