David Thoni won the state one time his senior year in 1983. Do not believe everything youn read. He also was a two time runner-up his Sophomore and Junior year. So in 1982 he was a returning finalist.

Thank you everyone who came out today. I believe someone said there were 61 kids in attendence. I hope everyone learned a lot cause I know they had a good time. Special thanks to all the parents that came with there kids because they learned first hand what the love of a wrestling community is all about. Big shout out to the Cumberland wrestlers and coach who came to help. Phillip, Patrick, Aaron ,Raymond and Tommy thanks again for all your help. Keep sending donations. They are needed. The Paul Bass Wrestling Clinic Sunday, November 17th at Father Ryan Time – 1:00 pm till 3:00 pm We are asking each person to make a donation at the door. 100 % of the money collected will go to a fund to help long-time wrestling coach Paul Bass the head wrestling coach at MLK who lost everything in a house fire. All clinicians are donating their time. Captain Phillip Simpson – Phillip was a 4 time state champion at MBA and 4 time high school All-American. He was a 3 time NCAA All-American at The United States Military Academy finishing as NCAA Runner-up in ’05. Serving in the military Phillip was a member of the World Class Athletic Program ’05-’13. In ’12 Phillip won the Pan American Championships. Captain Patrick Simpson – Patrick was a 3 time state champion at MBA and a high school All-American. Patrick was also 3 time EIWA placer while wrestling at The United States Military Academy. Serving in the military, Patrick was a member of the World Class Athletic Program. He was a member of the “10 World Military Team†and finished in 8th place. Patrick is currently coaching at Montgomery Bell Academy. Raymond Dunning – Raymond was a 3 time state champion at Father Ryan and a high school All-American. Raymond became a 3 time Division II NCAA All-American while finishing 2nd place as a senior at Adams State . He is currently serving as the club coach at Father Ryan. Captain Aaron Holker –Aaron started his wrestling career in Minnesota as a kid. Then he wrestled at BYU where he was an All-American. Then he transferred to Iowa State where he was again an All-American and an NCAA Champion. Aaron was a 3 time NCAA All-American. In 2006 Aaron was the US Military Champion. Aaron is currently serving in the US military and working as an assistant wrestling coach at Clarksville High School.
