  1. 6 straight and 19 overall. Hate all ya want. Continue with y'alls lil' "conspiracy theories". We Alcoa fans have heard 'em all. Success breeds contempt....go look up the quote. We play up every year. We have a darn good winning percentage against teams above our classification. If y'all want to beat us figure it out and quit making lame excuses. Being a champion is in a programs DNA, not in bravado and one or two exceptional classes coming through the system.
  2. Red Bank y'all are RIGHT THERE, but not quite there yet. Good try with all our injuries. Try again next year, y'all. Losing @ home sucks. Y'all are competing, which is great. Thank you for hosting and being gracious.
  3. I think 99% of Alcoa fans hope we move up to 4 or 5A. Our team has proven they can compete at a higher level that the TSSAA mandated classification they are in right now. We have won multiple championships in 1, 2 and 3A. No reason to think a bump up in classification is gonna change that. I'm not being cocky or talking crap, just stating facts.
  4. AE might not be scared of Alcoa, but they are defeated by Alcoa year in and year out. Until AE beats Alcoa in a game that matters it DOESN'T matter. Competing with Alcoa and beating Alcoa are totally different things. Turtle, I know you are a #1 hater of the Tornadoes and I get it....those 18 championships gotta bug the crap out of so many teams. Just stop with the rhetoric until y'all actually beat us. The dynasty will eventually end, no doubt. Think about this, though. AE could win the next 16 straight state titles and only be tied with Alcoa. The law of probability and common sense says y'all will never catch up to us. Y'all are good, but several steps away from great. Deal with it.
  5. First and foremost I hope y'alls QB makes a quick recovery from that injury. Looked harsh on t.v. He played his heart out. Congrats to my Tornadoes on another dominating victory. Sloppy play in the 2nd half, but in the end 5 straight titles and 18 overall. Kings of 3A! Pearl Cohn, being honest here. Y'all had a great seaaon and plenty of talent, but the moment was too big for y'all this year. Your players didn't respond well to the adversity of playing from behind. It will come with experience. Fully expect to see y'all again in the playoffs next year better and more prepared.
  6. Y'all don't need to come back to Alcoa until you're serious about competing. I say that to your coaches, not the players. They are horrible playcallers. I realize your team was outmatched from the first play, but that playcalling was so predictable and vanilla. No excuses. I know Jeff Harig is a better coach than that. He should have also put a muzzle on all the social media chatter his team was putting out there because it hurt them big time tonight. 13-1 is nothing to be ashamed of, but I feel like the moment was too big for the coaches. It doesn't help when you don't schedule quality competition during the year. Alcoa plays above their classification year in and year out non-district. Loudon plays down 2 classifications to start the year and doesn't do much more until the playoffs.
  7. Hope everyone has had a great Thanksgiving. I sure have ate enough for 3 people!!! Always good to enjoy family, food, and football this time of year. Looking forward to a battle tomorrow night @ Goddard Field. Should be a hard hitting game. If you're coming up from Loudon have a safe trip up this way. Let's go get at it!!!! Go F5!!!
  8. ...says the guy who's team hasn't sniffed victory against Alcoa in 8 years. CAK tried that pass pass pass pass crap on Alcoa for years and went 2-15 against them. Loudon will be a tougher test than AE for sure, but until someone beats us it's all pretty much talk and jealousy. Whoever beats Alcoa in 3A will get nothing but respect from me. I'm not one of those disgruntled fans or excuse-makers. Alcoa has won...a LOT...and they will eventually have adversity. Its all a part of sports.
  9. Hats off to AE tonight. If they had some depth that woulda been a ballgame. Except a big run on a busted defensive assignment and a TD on our 2nd team guys AE had two nice touchdown drives. They just didn't have anyone down the stretch except #6 making plays and even he got gassed. The refs were horrible and shouldn't have been reffing a playoff game. Anyhow, they gave us some better competition than they have the last couple of years. Now on to next week and playing the Redskins.
  10. Turtle, we've heard it for years and years and years about "recruiting". It's a mask for jealousy. It's an excuse for every loss Alcoa lays on an opponent. I have been flowing Alcoa football for 30 years. We have had some.bad seasons and will again. 1980-1986. 1989-2000....average teams 8-5 in 2011 with an AE tranfer at QB. We didnt make excusus or cry foul. Lost to CAK in 2012 in the playoffs. Lost in 2014 to CPA in the championship. No whining. We get beat by Maryville regularly. No whining. If y'all beat Alcoa Friday night I will tell you congrats and move on. No excuses or whining. If your team wants what Alcoa has they will make themselves better and come get it. Thats the bottom line.
  11. Go Redskins! I want y'all to come.to Alcoa 13-0. This is the game everybody in Alcoa wants to see. Used to be a fun rivalry. Hope to see y'all next week. We gotta go take care of some Roadrunners.
  12. I'm gonna throw it on out there. Alcoa-38 AE-7. I think it will be interesting for about 1 1/2 quarters. If AE had depth they would be a legitimate threat the last coupla years. They have some athletes, just not enough of them.
  13. Coach Nix will take over when Coach Rankin retires. He's a great coach and a great guy. Already a legend.
