  1. Thank you very much. MY POINT EXACTLY. How many years ago was that?
  2. I agree. Here is the rub. You ask any mother of a young son in WC if they would like their son playing football. They will say right quick they don't want their boy hurt (CTE) by a RCS team. So because they are on the schedule it hurts our participation. We should compete or beat DeKalb, Coffee, and White every year period.
  3. Just not sure what you are talking about the daddy thing. WC dresses about 30 players and it is all hands on deck. We have had some good hard working coaches Ray Barnes who worked with Bill Parcells and Boots Donnely to name a few. Frank Fisher was one of the hardest working people I have ever known. Present coach Moore has a championship pedigree. I have watched the Rutherford Co programs since Central was split to Oakland & Riverdale. I commend your son for working hard, I believe that kids can get better with hard work, nutrition, and conditioning, I have a grandson that is a great kid. I don't care how much weight he lifts, sprints he runs with a parachute tied to him or if he has the diet of Tom Brady he will never run a 5.0 40, dunk a basketball, or throw a fastball at 98mph. Genetics my friend genetics. I CAN TELL YOU FOR SURE THAT ALL MEN ARE NOT CREATED EQUAL.
  4. Ok ok I exaggerated the stats a little but let's be real about D 1 athletes. Rutherford Co is furtile ground for D1 players. In WC we have none and I could not tell you the last one we had. Not whining just the facts.
  5. I am really trying to understand how some of the finest coaches and best facilities in the state would allow us to match up with some of the Rutherford Co beasts. There are some players walking the halls but not near enough to match up with the D1 players WC will face nearly every Friday night. A great deal of the people in WC are retired or have moved here to retire. They don't have school age children, maybe grandchildren. The football talent level is low and the only way to bring it up is to import players. Our kids are great kids but very few can bench 350lbs or run a 4.2 40. You can't compete on this level with just 2 or 3 players that can preform on that level. I am sorry
  6. If the school system is serious about improving athletics they will need to bite the bullet. If the county and the people are serious about this they can insist we make a move. People of Warren Co. need to quit bitching and make a real commitment for the future our athletic programs. I know it will be hard but not impossible. I assure everybody it can be done and not as expensive as you think. I love WC athletics.
  7. How about this. We have 2 high schools. Let highway 55 set your school zone. Existing county schools would only go through the 5th grades. Now you would have 2 middle schools that would have football programs that feeds the 2 high schools. Now every student would have the opportunity to play in the middle schools starting in the 6th grade. This plan would give us a possible 2 3A schools or even a 3A and a 2A. Now with this plan we could compete!!! Just Sayin
  8. WOW glad you did not spend majority of your life around a hospital you may think you are a heart or brain surgeon. Maybe you stayed at a Holiday Inn. Officiating on MS level for couple years VERY IMPRESSIVE
  9. Wow someone who spends a lot of time in MS an HS gyms. We are hearing from the top of the mountain, the burning bush of officials. I feel so humbled to be in this presence. When you spend 40 years in coaching, officiating, and athletics maybe you will know. Until then SHUTUP.
  10. I can't believe some DA would think a game is only 3 hrs. work and 25 to 30 dollars an hour. You could make ESPN's "come on man". TSSAA requires officials to be at game cite at least one hour before game. Every official must pay to register with TSSAA for each sport. Then the official must pay association dues he or she joins. Also the next expense is uniforms and shoes. These will run from $250 to $600 per season. Now an official has got this far they are required to travel and work scrimmages, jamborees, and camps for free. All the official haters out there imagine what athletics would be like without officials. Decisions would be up to parents and fans. "COME ON MAN"
  11. Web site Tssaa.org. You can sign up to be an official. If not quit your whining. There some weak officials out there. Just like there are poor doctors, lawyers, factory workers, ect.
