  1. Betsy doesn't get to play too many mid-state teams. Nolensvile, Haywood, Springfield come to mind. Yep, its Tullahomas year
  2. Elizabethton, Gatlinburg Pittman, McMinn C, Upperman, East Nash, CPA, Westview, Haywood
  3. No question about it AA Ms. Basketball Kayla Marosites of Elizabethton. MVP of last years state tourney has led her team to 25-0 record AP #1 all seasonHer only competition is from her sister Kelsi
  4. All this chatter about Sullivan South's seeding is dependent first dependent on SS. To get to 10-0 they must win in week 10 which may not be an easy task. Both Elizabethton and Sull South have sailed thru District 1-AA - South 5-0 237 to 14; Elizabethton 5-0 230 to 31 (draw). They had two common opponents: TennHi- Sullivan South won 38-35 Betsy 35-0 and D. Boone SS won 42-14 and betsy 35-0 (draw). Non-common opponents SS beat Gate City VA (5-4) 40-7 and Cherokee (4-5) 38-35 While Betsy beat D. Crockett (5-4)52-0 and lost to Science Hill (7-2) 35-40. (draw?) Last year Betsy won 21-7.This should be a great match up Friday night.
  5. look for a high scoring team in the area who consistantly go for 2.
  6. You mean we won't rest Lingerfelt's leg and go for 2? If the shoe fits wear it!
  7. Gerry, I think you have the 8 teams who will end up in quad 1. I doubt that Unicoi Co and Clayborn will get in with 4 wins. #1&2 will be Greeneville and Fulton. #3-6 are up for grabs depending on the outcome of Knox Catholic in the final two weeks with games with Knox Webb and Alcoa. They could be a 9-1 #1 district 4 winner or a #2 at either 8-2 or 7-3. The Elizabethton/Sullivan South winner could be the #3 or #4 seed dependent on Alcoa and the loser somewhere #4-#6 as a #2 seed. The Betsy/South game in week 10 should be interesting as both have run all over the other district teams and their common opponents (5a Tennessee Hi and Daniel Boone). They are only seperated by Betsy's Loss to 6A Science Hill in a 0 week contest. this should be the game of the week in upper East Tennessee. #7 should be Grainger (2nd place Dist 2) and #8 Scott co (wildcard from Dist 4). This is a one heck of a quad.
  8. How about a % that Knox Catholic will also end up in quad 1
  9. Raider Dad - Johnson Co, like all of us needs the $$. I feel sure that the Cyclone Nation, students, band parents, football parents and those of us called the "Old F**** will make the drive around Watauga Lake to see the fall leaves on the way.
  10. Gerry, First, let me say that you are the guru of AA football in the state. Your knowledge of the playoff system and the teams and standings statewide is second to none. I personally have difficulty keeping up with the districts in my area of the state. I see that your updates this year are a replication of what the TSSAA will put out on Tuesday. If that is your purpose fine, you beat the TSSAA every time and CoachT members all know that at the conclusion of week 10 you will have the accurate brackets hours before the TSSAA releases theirs which will surely have errors (witness the Sullivan South disgrace last year) . What I would really like to see from you is your prediction of how it will all shake out.
  11. I agree with wardawg2038. I woud see the final in quad 1 as: 1. Greeneville 2. Fulton 3. Elizabethton/South winner 4. Carter 5. Elizabethton/South loser 6/ Knox Catholic 7. Grainger/Claiborn winner 8. Scott
  12. Thats what I thought. The fans are able to find their errors. The T$$AA have managed to mess them up every year.
  13. Is there some reason that the T$$AA is not posting a link on their web site to the weekly updates? In past years it has allways been posted but I have not seen it this year. I found it last week from a posting on this web site.
