  1. Jeff I hope you post boys scores too in the spring
  2. Also was just on Siegel fields this past weekend for the boys state tourney and those fields are still a work in progress. Definitely getting better but they still have a lot of sand and bare spots throughout the fields. I will say this is the first time I have been out there that the fields didn't actually affect the play so that is a positive! Hopefully more improvements are to come in the near future
  3. As a referee who has been on most of the fields mentioned here is my two cents for what its worth. Class A-AA, the top two would be Lipscomb Academy, and I personally think White House always has a beautiful field. Class AAA- Hendersonville and Franklin are my top two Divison I - USN without a doubt has one of the top grass fields in the state! Divison II- Due to many schools having turf instead of grass, I would say that JPII or Ensworth has the best grass field!
  4. I spoke with Evan Lenk last week and he said he is out for the rest of the regular season, and the plan is for him to be back for the start of the playoffs
  5. I am seeing a lot of people comparing scores, and I don't think that is a fair assessment in this situation. You have to understand that in half of Springfield's 6 wins, the varsity was pulled at the 4th quarter and the JV played the rest which resulted in most of the points. The scores don't really tell just how lopsided the games have been thus far minus the Greenbrier, and Gallatin games! Northeast game: Springfield up 34-0 in the 4th, final 34-15 Clarksville Northwest game: Springfield up 34-7 at halftime, JV plays 2nd half, final 48-22 White House game: Springfield up 39-0 in the 4th, JV plays final quarter, final 39-8 I think this will be the closest game between the two teams in the past 5-6 years. I agree that this will be the most disciplined, well coached team Springfield will face the year. I believe that the game will be decided by Springfield eliminating the penalties and the o-line controlling the line of scrimmage. I do think Springfield wins in a close game only because of it being at home. Final Springfield 27-21
