they had a 400 game basketball winner coaching baseball a few year ago and didn't hire him. I think the time for sp to hire a basketball coach went out the window when he left.
then you should have hired the 400 game winner from ms with 4 state appearences...instead you will no doubt hire a level 1 math teacher with no credentials. once again not being critical...i just happen to know t town cares as much for basketball as manchester does.
no offense but when was the last time t town made the state or had a winning season? you haven't exactly hit a home run with your hires the last several years. I say he winds up as an assistant someplace...only problem will be his physical education certification...not many jobs with that out there.
riverdale hasn't been relevant in boys basketball for almost 30 years...oakland for 10. it seems on paper at least oakland got the better end of the deal.
my thing is why go through all the trouble of interviewing and wasting people's time if you knew who you were going to hire? that is so much mickey mouse. i hear there were at least 4 top notch coaches who applied but the ad selected maybe 3 or 4 with very little experience to make william's hiring seem legit. just offer the guy the job up front if that was your intention in the 1st place. any word on what douglas will do? I hear he applied at tullahoma.
good discussion. now who is the main person that does the hiring...the principal, athletic director or is the school director instrumental in the hiring process?
